Best And Easiest Composite A/V Mod?

Would like to do this myself. Looked all over the net and came across Ben Heck's Mod, http://benheck.com/Games/Coleco/Video_Mod.htm. Has anyone done this? How does it work as far as the video and audio output looking? Am open to any other easy and cheap ways to do it. Thanks in advance!

Personally, I had my Colecovision outfitted with an A/V mod by Yurkie, and I couldn't be happier. As a matter of fact, I have since had the same conversion done by him for two of my other friends consples...they are just as happy with the results!

 

I know you mentioned that you wanted to try this one out for yourself, but I figured i would mention that Yurkie does amazing work. The modded console works perfectly (after almost a year of continuous use). Also, his craftsmanship show, as the modification to the console looks like it came that way out of the box. His price for this service was very reasonable as well.

I did the Ben Heck mod on mine a few years ago and it works pretty well for such a simple circuit. However, I'd suggest tapping audio from the RF modulator if you want to use the Expansion Module 1, since the audio for that doesn't get passed into the SN76489.
