PacManPlus #1 Posted March 10, 2012 Hi Guys: Being that I had one 7800 that I had not 'colorized' yet, I went with Purple The odd thing is, it's actually much closer to the color of the vinyl record in 'real life' - the camera seems to have 'washed out' the color a little. :-/ I added the S-Video connector directly to the motherboard, and the audio connector in the case. I only have one more NOS 'Atari 7800' silver strip left... so one more color in the future. I'm thinking 'Gold'? So now I have a Silver, White, and Purple 7800. (BTW - I post these things to give people ideas, and because I think it looks cool) Bob
+iesposta #2 Posted March 10, 2012 Very nice! I've taken pictures of purple flowers and they always come out blue. I think the ultraviolet filter goes too far into the visible. That's where I put my s-video. Soldered and epoxied it. My audio is off to the side. No composite. Does your audio go to left & right mono, or just one side? Dauber #6 Posted March 12, 2012 Bob -- very cool! Your 7800 actually looks like a SNES. (Ironic that I said "cool" considering I always hated the SNES....)
Yurkie #7 Posted March 13, 2012 Pretty sweet that you have the Prince Purple Rain LP in the picture.
