SKELETOR68 #1 Posted March 15, 2012 Hello Guys, I had no idea that Atari had a site with COLECO VISION in it, I must say I am impressed with the amount of people still posting good stuff about Coleco, So here is my small collection and always looking at getting more games to play not just collect, I still play PEPPER II, LADYBUG, DONKEY KONG Jr and ZAXXON all level 1 for now. I know most of my collection, if not all of it is very common but this is my third console, lost one in a house fire back in 85, insurance got me another one and later my jackass room mate pawned it off for $40, so I picked up my third one in Winnipeg Canade. 01. SKELETOR68 #15 Posted March 25, 2012 What am I looking for on Victory and Venture? the carts.
NIAD #16 Posted March 26, 2012 What am I looking for on Victory and Venture? the carts. What do you mean "looking for"? These are two very common carts if you are looking for them LOOSE ($1-$5) or even COMPLETE IN BOX ($8-$15).
SKELETOR68 #17 Posted March 26, 2012 Just something that Rellik111 had brought to my attention on these games.
NIAD #18 Posted March 26, 2012 Just something that Rellik111 had brought to my attention on these games. Still doesn't clarify what exactly you want to know about them.
ColecoDan #19 Posted March 26, 2012 If you read up higher rellik talks about if he had a different variation in those two carts on the label then he would be happy because they would be worth more or special. He didn't tell him what was different about the labels so he has no idea what he is looking for though. I am pretty sure that is what he is talking about. RelliK111 #20 Posted March 26, 2012 (edited) Just something that Rellik111 had brought to my attention on these games. Sorry I was talking about the label variation on Victory and Venture. If your cart on Victory says "ColecoVision Presents" that label variation is very hard to find. Also with Venture the label variation that says "For ColecoVision & ADAM" is super rare. If you look at NIAD's Rarity list he breaks all the Label Variation down for everyone and lets people know how rare your ColecoVision games are. He has every known game on the Colecovision in that list. It's super helpful for starting your collection! Also if you want to have a huge boost in your Colecovision collection you could participate in the raffle I'm having right now for one of the rarest and most sought after ColecoVision games ever: Mario Bros 32k Prototype #4. There is only 5 in existence and its signed and numbered. In fact copy #5 just sold on ebay for $1000.00 Plus the money raised for the raffle is going to a good cause in helping out Collectorvision. All the info is at this link: http://www.atariage....bros-prototype/ I hope that clears a few things up for you and if you have one of those label variation, I would love to buy them off of you, as I'm sure a number of other Collectors here would love to also, as there are very hard to come by. I have been looking for those for a while now. Edited March 26, 2012 by RelliK111

SKELETOR68 #22 Posted March 26, 2012 As it stands my VENTURE says COLECO VISION Presents, on the top it says Coleco Vision VENTURE, on the VICTORY cart it says Victory for the COLECO VISION & Adam, top of cart says COLECO VISION & ADAM, hope this helps
NIAD #23 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) As it stands my VENTURE says COLECO VISION Presents, on the top it says Coleco Vision VENTURE, on the VICTORY cart it says Victory for the COLECO VISION & Adam, top of cart says COLECO VISION & ADAM, hope this helps Ok, thanks for clarifying (as well as ColecoDan and Relik111). Indeed, you have the VERY COMMON label variations of Venture and Victory. The Venture label that reads "For ColecoVision & ADAM" only became known to us about 4 months ago and I "think" the Victory label variation that reads "Coleco Vision Presents" was a Coleco In-House label that only became available to the masses when former employees sold off their collections. I could be wrong concerning the "Coleco Vision Presents" label variation of Victory, but there are a couple clues that lead me to this thinking: the only box that was ever made for it reads "For the ColecoVision & ADAM Computer" the rare/uncommon "Coleco Vision Presents" label does not state "For use only with ColecoVision Roller Controller" how many people are actually known to own one... maybe a handful? SKELETOR68 #24 Posted March 27, 2012 Cool, I will still enjoy these games more than ever now, I would be to worried about the cart destroyed with the labels, I do play them quit a bit, Nice having a working Coleco on a 54 inch SONY tv.
