jferio #6 Posted March 17, 2012 If you find them, ColecoVision controllers also work quite well for the purpose. (I have the Booster Grip, actually. I intend to use it on a ColecoVision when I finally get my hands on a working one.)
SoulBlazer #7 Posted April 1, 2016 Giving this a bump in case anyone wants to play along with Ferg for his next 2600 game by game episode so that we can play Omega Race with a joystick or something else.
+Omegamatrix #8 Posted April 1, 2016 Omega Race has also been converted to work with a Sega Genesis Controller. You might want to try it.
Supergun #9 Posted April 2, 2016 I have a booster grip as well. But how I came into it is a funny story. It was the mid 90's when I first found the Internet and the newsgroups like rec.games and discovered the fun of flea markets, thrift shops, goodwills, & Salvation Army places. I found a booster grip for $1 at a thrift shop, looked at it and incorrectly assumed it to be a broken 3rd party joystick! (missing the base or whatever) I laughed about it saying "who would buy this crap?! A broken joystick? Ha!" And I tossed it back in the box! Months later, I found out and realized what it was for, and realized what a rookie mistake that was. But I literally went back to the same thrift shop, and surely enough, it was still at the bottom of the same dusty box I had originally left it in. So I bought it for $1 and that was that. For years before this I also incorrectly assumed that Omega Race was like ColecoVision Victory or NES the Immortal. (a factory original defective cart) Heh, who knew!
