dafivehole #1 Posted March 17, 2012 There's a garage sale today and the guy has the following: CV console Atari module Driving module SA controllers (x2) Carts: Turbo, Carnival, SA Baseball and a couple of common 2600 carts. Everything was well taken care of and looks to be complete... is $50 for all a good deal? Thanks, Roger
Zwackery #2 Posted March 17, 2012 If the console works, the joysticks are functional, and the power supply looks/sounds/smells reliable, I'd likely buy it.
NIAD #3 Posted March 17, 2012 Indeed, $50 is a ver good price for everything that you listed out especially if you can verify beforehand that everything is in working order. If you can have the seller hook it up while you are there, I would very much recommend that and also stop at an electronics store and pickup a Coaxial-to-RF Adapter for a couple bucks to bring with you in case he does not have the RF Switchbox. Even if there are issues with the console or controllers, Yurkie can work his magic and even mod the unit for Composite Video output and Ball-Knob controllers. AtariBrian #5 Posted March 17, 2012 surely you could talk him down ten buck or so. nobody else is gonna walk to up to that garage sale wanting to pay 50 bucks for a coleco
dafivehole #6 Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) I ended up picking this lot up today. Just needs minor cleaning but it includes all manuals too. One thing I did notice is that on one of the SA controllers, the greyish/white roller is missing... is this an easy fix? Thanks, Roger I also noticed that the battery cover for the Driving Module is missing... are these easily found too? sqoon #7 Posted March 29, 2012 If the driving module works good you got a good deal for sure. I saw a battery door for one in a ebay auction recently.
