Cynicaster #2 Posted March 21, 2012 I don't have much experience with MESS but I recently installed it on my MAME cabinet. I found that many systems wouldn't work without a BIOS ROM. As soon as I got those, it worked fine for most games. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Trip_Cannon #4 Posted March 22, 2012 Yeah, I can't stand it when they rename the romsets.. I've been testing it out with the Atari 7800 and the BIOS that worked fine with .83 says it's bad on v.145.. Some files still work but wow is it annoying... I do like that you can display the screen on a secondary monitor... However, I'm using "messui" and it works when you start from scratch but every time it creates a .cfg file and you try rebooting the program it crashes... I did notice they released another update of MESS since the last week when I downloaded so I'll give that a try when I get home and see what happens...
