SlowCoder #6 Posted March 21, 2012 Bubble Bobble is quite a fun time killer game. I regularly play the Linux one, and I also have one on the N64 called Bust-A-Move 99.
fernando marrin #7 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Bust a Move is an entirely different game though Edited March 21, 2012 by fernando marrin
misspent_youth #8 Posted March 22, 2012 I think SlowCoder is thinking of Puzzle Bobble, which is a similar game to Bust a Move.
SlowCoder #9 Posted March 22, 2012 I think SlowCoder is thinking of Puzzle Bobble, which is a similar game to Bust a Move. Well, I feel dumb. I was thinking Frozen Bubble. Er ... Don't think I ever played Bubble Bobble ... (embarrassed, sheepishly slinks away from the thread backwards)
Pixelboy #10 Posted March 22, 2012 The versions of Bubble Bobble pictured on SMSPower are for the Samsung Gam*Boy (a korean clone of the SMS) and they seem to be using the older video mode originally used by the SG-1000, so they should be portable to the ColecoVision. By the way, Exerion has already been ported to the CV. It's an Opcode prototype cart which exists in only five exemplaries.
RelliK111 #11 Posted March 22, 2012 I know CollectorVision has Bubble Bobble in it's work in progress section on there website, but I have no idea how close it is to getting done or not. http://www.collectorvision.com/wip.htm
NIAD #12 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) I know CollectorVision has Bubble Bobble in it's work in progress section on there website, but I have no idea how close it is to getting done or not. Retroillucid has mentioned that BB is one of his FAVORITE games of all time and he REALLY wants to make a ColecoVision version, but it probably won't happen anytime in the forseable future. BTW, has anyone heard from Retroillucid? He hasn't been on here since the 16th, which is not like him. Hope all is well and that maybe he is away on a vacation getting some R&R as well as quality family time. Edited March 22, 2012 by NIAD

+5-11under #17 Posted March 22, 2012 No News also since 9 march . He said me he was going to ship games to europe the Friday. I hope he didn't lost its way on the road... At that point I still owed him at least one game PCB that was to be part of a shipment to Europe. Unfortunately, I was in the hospital most of the first half of March. I sent him the PCB 8 days ago, so he should have it by now. He hasn't responded to my PMs or e-mail yet. Hopefully he's doing well... he owes me money. ten-four #19 Posted March 22, 2012 I finally spoke with J-F on February 28. There he said he would send the entire package to Europe around March 9. But Harvey was in the hospital during that period, so J-F couldn't send the package. And in the same period was also this "argument" about the Xonox Double-Ender games. Actually think it affected him. > NIAD: "but it probably won't happen anytime in the forseable future." What do you mean ?
+opcode #20 Posted March 22, 2012 Funny, it seems I was the last one to talk to him. We exchanged a few emails about the Super Game Module on March 13th. Hope all is well. So what you are saying is if we buy you a nanny then we will get more games. It will have to be an ugly nanny as well or you might replace the distractions with another distraction
