Pixelboy #27 Posted March 24, 2012 Well, since this thread is nothing more than an early April Fool's joke, I'll give it a glimmer of non-sucker material by saying that I just updated the Team Pixelboy web site. You will find some new games listed in the "outsourced" section, namely Princess Quest, King's Valley, Thexder, Spelunker and The Stone of Wisdom. And there's no April's fool info to be found anywhere in there!

Holy Crap I played Thexder when I was a kid on my mom's computer but I never new what the name of the game was, because it was just a blank floppy disk! That is super cool and brings back major nostalgia for me!! That will be so much fun to play again on the Colecovision! Are those games coming out these year or will it be a few years down the road since your taking a break next year?

That is super cool and brings back major nostalgia for me!! That will be so much fun to play again on the Colecovision! Please keep in mind that you'll need the Super Game Module to enjoy this title, so your nostalgia is going to cost you some money. Better start saving up! Are those games coming out these year or will it be a few years down the road since your taking a break next year? My plan is to release ALL the outsourced games listed on my web site this year, and I'm working hard to make it happen. I'll be doing my part (namely getting the boxes, manuals and cart labels done and printed in time for the Christmas release) but in the end, it will depend on the completion of the game software (I don't mean to put pressure on you when I say this, Eduardo, it's just a plain fact) and it will also depend on how fast 5-11under can solder together the cart electronics. Wonder Boy, Mopiranger and Princess Quest are ready to be put on carts right now, but I need to send Harvey the PCBs he needs to get the job done. Now some of you may wonder why I'm bent on releasing so many games on the same day, since very few people will have the money to buy all those games at once on release day, especially given that the SGM and Donkey Kong Arcade will be hot items on every ColecoVision fan's Christmas list. As was stated before, I want to take a break from Team Pixelboy operations in 2013 to concentrate on the development of BasicVision (which I've been putting off for WAY too long) and that means that I will only handle sales of Team Pixelboy games during that year. The main reason why I want to release all the games this year is because I feel it's a great way to celebrate the ColecoVision's 30th anniversary. One thing that my layaway plan has demonstrated these past few months is that a layaway plan is not really needed. I still have several copies left of my latest batch of releases, so 75 copies of each game is enough to meet the general demand. The thing that my customers really need is simply to be periodically reminded that there are some games they want that they haven't bought yet. So that's exactly the plan I'm going to implement next year: I will offer a "reminder service", where I will send people a simple reminder by e-mail every two months, and they will have all the time they need to put some money aside and purchase the games they want at the pace they want. Of course, purchasing a single game every month is going to be expensive in terms of shipping fees, so it will be up to my customers to work these purchases within their budget. The important thing is that all the games will be available from day one, namely Christmas 2012.

65Gamerguy #32 Posted March 24, 2012 I was in touch with a former Coleco Employee who was in R&D department and worked closely with Eric Bromley I asked him if he had kept some Coleco stuff....... .... to my huge surprise, he told me he kept the very first Colecovision system they developed Apparently, only few of those units were made Needless to say I was like kid and immediately asked him if he was willing to sell his stuff.... He accepted!!! .... and not only he accepted but all I have to pay is the shipping fees! So, here it is! The very first proto system (out of 5) More pics will come on colecoindustries.com later this year Wow I can't wait to see more photos and any information about this.I always thought that Coleco was way ahead of the others by including the expansion port. From your photo and others I have seen in magazines back in the day they had this in mind from the very beginning.

If you ever decide to make any other Coco ports for the CV, I recommend one of my favorites and its an odd yet very fun game - Outhouse

But if I had to pick another Coco game to convert to the ColecoVision, I'd surely pick Time Bandit.
