Highlander, The Last of the McClouds - PC release?

I can find no mention of a pc release via google.. just the classic reviews of the Jag one. If it was released then woe to Atari

You know...it's a pity. I really wanted to like this game, but it's just completely broken.

 

Hard to see how a PC version could've been any worse.

the character models in those pc screenshots look quite a bit nicer than those found in the jaguar version. considering graphics were the strongpoint of the Jaguar release I don't think that wouldve made much of a difference though.

THe models look the same to me.. maybe higher res is all

 

Plainly its not a great game.. once one gets the hang of combat it can become playable but still suffering for some fairly major issues (rooms you cant enter if you let the opponent get to the door etc an impenetrable gate if the 'code' wasnt displayed correctly etc)

 

Maybe the PC version had some of these issues fixed.

For me as a layman it looks better than the Jaguar version. Is there something different with the shading on the models maybe. Are the models on Jaguar even shaded in that way?

The character models in Jag Highlander are flat-shaded. The models in the PC version appear to be gouraud-shaded.

highlander and checkered flag win worst controls in a jag game ever lol. and the character / car models in both actually are so laughable. i always heard checkered flag was purposely butchered cus atari were dicks to rebellion and i wonder if the same thing happened with highlander (disgruntled atari employees lol) also heard the same thing happened with fight for life, the beta being noticeably better than rumored sabotaged final version.

I have Towers II for the PC you have play using a mouse that helps the game play a lot. I would love to get my hands on a copy of highlander for the PC.
