Cannon Fodder Walkthrough

Does anybody know if there is a Cannon Fodder walkthrough anywhere?

 

I have the Jaguar gamers guide, but I think its all wrong as it refers to RPG soldiers as snipers all the way through for some very wierd reason???

 

Also, this port seems much harder than the Megadrive one.

 

Im stuck on Mission 8, phase 2 where you have to take out the RPG men and then get into the central turret to take down the buildings, but although I definitely take out all the RPG men, as soon as I get into the turret, an RPG hits me!

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated and this is abit game-breaking for me

I think the game might actually be broken

You do realize that "sniper" isn't a kind of gun, right? If an undetected soldier armed with an RPG kills you from halfway across the map in one shot, then huzzah, he's a sniper.

 

Anyway, I finished the game using the Jaguar Gamer's Guide walkthrough, and yes, as I say elsewhere in the Guide, the game IS broken in a few places. But in many other places it's just way too damn hard.

If you could just choose a level to play then I would try to help you, but since my save is on the last mission I would have to start a new game. Are you sure there isn't a sniper hiding somewhere off screen and when you get near the turret he gets you from the edge of the screen?

It's not a sniper but that level is time critical. You have a very small window to blow the doors out of the houses while using the turret before some of the enemy soldiers throw a grenade that kills you. There are some levels in this game which are ridiculously hard. I don't know how many times I died until I learned the positions of the snipers and then when finally reaching the turrets blowing myself up or been blown up by a grenade. :-) It is doable but you need a lot of patience. It gets even harder later on. I am stuck in a level with multiple phases where some tanks kill me before I break through a wall. Tried it a lot of times, gave up, never touched it again...so yes it's broken. :-)

I never got as far in Jag Cannon Fodder as I did in the Amiga version years ago. Memory not being what it is, is it possible this is yet another example where the Jag version ends up smoking pole, choking chode, blowing chunks, being borked comparatively?

I watched someone do this level on the Megadrive on Youtube and the snipers (men with bazooka's) didn't even fire ONCE! That version looks piss easy compared to the Jag one!

 

I almost cried last night. I tried this level about 20 times (got a gameover screen twice and had to re-do phase 1 as well, which isnt exactly a walkover) and a few times I got all the snipers and got my men (normally about 2 soldiers left at this point) to the turrent and everytime a grenade took me out the second I stepped into the turret!

 

The worst was though, I did kill all the snipers and got to the turret with all my soldiers, killed every soldier within range and stepped into the turret and DIDN'T get blown up straight away, BUT THEN the right side of the screen went all jagged and overlapped!!!! The game still worked but I took my eye off the ball for a second and low and behold, I got grenaded!

 

Unbelieveable. There aren't even any cheats anywhere on the internet for this game. The best you can find is basically game options logged down as cheats WTF.

I don't know if the Jag version is harder than other versions out there but not having mouse support like on the computer surly doesn't make it any easier :-)

I think it is literally a much harder port mate.

 

In the megadrive version the enemies barely shoot, whereas this version, they shoot at you before you even see them!

im sure you can find a playthrough on youtube of some version of cannon fodder, im sure all the versions are nearly identical.
