flashjazzcat #1 Posted April 22, 2012 (edited) Mega-Hz's old site has vanished, and along with it the installation instructions for his Stereo board. The part I'm interested in is the enable/disable switch - just want to know how to wire it up. May be obvious, but not to me. Anyone? Gunstar #2 Posted April 22, 2012 Sorry I can't help, I have a MetalGuy66 stereo board. But it doesn't have a disable switch, so I have to ask what is the advantage of having a disable switch? I have had no problems with any software that is not stereo; it works like normal and when stereo is supported, the stereo works.

I have had no problems with any software that is not stereo; it works like normal and when stereo is supported, the stereo works. A few games apparently have problems if a second Pokey is present. There's already a hole in the case for the switch anyway, so it's getting wired up, needed or not.
Mathy #4 Posted April 22, 2012 Hello guys Here's his new site: http://www.mega-hz.de/ Probably far from finished yet, but at least you can update your bookmarks. Mathy
flashjazzcat #5 Posted April 22, 2012 Brilliant - thanks Mathy. The archive of the old site contains all the information I need.

I guess I haven't come across those games or else I presumed said games didn't work for other reasons. Is there any sort of list of what isn't compatible? Depending on what they are, I may add my own switch.
flashjazzcat #7 Posted April 22, 2012 I guess I haven't come across those games or else I presumed said games didn't work for other reasons. Is there any sort of list of what isn't compatible? Depending on what they are, I may add my own switch. I stumbled across a few earlier in the week when I was rewiring the board, but unfortunately I can't recall specifics. The fact a few things don't work was reason enough to install the switch, considering this isn't my machine. I have two more of these Mega-HZ stereo boards in my own Ataris, but no switch on either since I simply don't play games.
Dropcheck #8 Posted April 22, 2012 Slightly off topic but take a look at this on his site http://www.mega-hz.de/Angebote/ATARI%20Blu-ray%20Brenner/Bluray.html
Gunstar #9 Posted April 22, 2012 ess ...since I simply don't play games. Not even an occasional Star Raiders game session? I hack and repair hardware most of the time myself, but I still play games as break downtime in between using the soldering iron and The Last Word processor. Mathy #10 Posted April 22, 2012 Hello Drophead Slightly off topic but take a look at this on his site http://www.mega-hz.d...ner/Bluray.html But that won't run on the Atari, this will. Mathy
flashjazzcat #11 Posted April 23, 2012 ess ...since I simply don't play games. Not even an occasional Star Raiders game session? I hack and repair hardware most of the time myself, but I still play games as break downtime in between using the soldering iron and The Last Word processor. I must say I used to enjoy Star Raiders back in the day, but a basic lack of aptitude quickly discouraged me from playing games. I always test out new releases nowadays, of course, since they're generally of such high quality and they deserve our attention, but my downtime (between the soldering iron and WUDSN IDE) is usually spent on the guitar. I'm not very good at being passively entertained, and enjoyment on its own isn't a sufficient result four hours spent at the computer. I don't even get on Grand Prix 4 on the PC much these days.
