I guess everyone has a "find" they can brag about.

Recommended Posts

I just started picking up stuff a few months ago.

Not much to brag alot about, but I did find some stuff at a thrift store yesterday:

Atari 2600 JR (console only) in excellent condition and works

Sega Genesis 2 (console with power supply) power comes on

NES "zapper" gun (Oh, whynot!)

Atari was $3, Sega was $3 and the NES gun was 50 cents

Not bad for $6.50 I thought

Well, Albert has known about this for about a week now. But I finally received in my hands tonight...probably my best "find" I am likely to find in a good while. It all started about a week ago as I was browsing Ebay auctions just looking around. Then for some odd unknown reason, I decide to check yahoo auctions also as from time to time I have found and gotten some good deals there. Well, I was looking for StarWars Jedi Arena, or Deathstar (Yeah right...) when I happened upon this auction here:

(Warning!!! A Yahoo Login ID is required to view this link...)

Now I am no expert...but the unlabeled cart caught my eye immediately. So I then went and took a gander at Tempest's wonderful www.atariprotos.com site where I then noticed this : http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/m...monty/61184.htm.

So it occurs to me as to what that unlabeled cart might be in that auction. I had a few other eyes take a look and judge what they thought, and they all agreed that I should take the risk. Keep in mind at the time this auction was already like 4 or 5 days old with no bids at all on it. So I noticed the Buy It Now price and simply couldn't hold back.

Well, today I got my carts in the mail from this guy and the pictures below will tell you all you need to know:

And detail on the label:

This alone was worth the money spent, and the fact that I got a really good shape Vanguard and Text only Atlantis carts with it...is just freebies in the goodie bag.

hehe...I know Tempest has like a closet full of this exact same one at his house...but this is my first Proto and I am one happy camper. Who needs the finds in the wild when you can shop and find the wild finds from the comfort of your own chair at home?

:D

Interesting find that Star Wars... Is it the Arcade Game or another one (maybe Ewok Adventure? Wouldn't that be nice!)

Its the Arcade Game...I think I would have died if I plugged it in..and saw Ewok Adventure on the screen...No...I know for a fact I would have died..so good thing that wasn't it...

Still a StarWars:TAG isn't all that common...and the proto for one is even better....hehe...I know...i suck...but I am loving this....

You should either dump it, send it to me or one of the Al's to have it dumped and let it be archived on Matt's site with a little bit of documentation as well as one of these pictures.

CPUWIZ I will try and dump the cart myself this weekend....

I am pretty sure my dev modded 7800 can do it...

Besides....where do you think the NTSC on 7800 Xeno came from?
