Was using it a few days ago not a problem, game to turn it on this morning and it's dead as a door nail. Any help would be appreciated.. GadgetUK
Have you tried the 'wire trick', connecting a wire from battery minus to headphone ground. If it powers up its the MOSFET thats gone - most likely the cause. Probably cost a few pounds for the part and needs good soldering skills to replace it, or you could wire it inside to bypass the MOSFET. Hiddenevil
Well i found a replacement mosfet and installed it. Removing the old one wasn't easy, desoldered the pins and tried wiggling the chip off the board, I must have applied to much force as the damn think broke in two.. Anyways, the new MOSFET was installed and the Lynx still doesn't work. I've tried the wire trick and where as before fitting the MOSFET, the console would work. I now get a blank black screen. The back light IS working, just i'm not getting a picture.
GadgetUK
Hard to say, sounds like you might have caused some other issue - check for solder splashes, check the mosfet itself, ie is it soldered correctly and youve not joined 2 tracks by accident? Did it work with the wire trick before u changed the mosfet?
