What is this Tandy worth?

Recommended Posts

I have a Tandy 1400 laptop that I've had since I was very young. I bring it out every once in a while, but mostly it stays in it's Tandy branded case (the thing is huge!). It's still cream white, and not a block of ugly yellow plastic. It literally looks nearly new. I also have a ton of floppies for it, from dos, to programs to games.

I was just wondering, is this thing worth anything, or is this simply a monetarily worthless trip down memory lane to play Burger Time on?

Was the 1400 color? I had the 1100FD and have been trying to locate one for a long time. Thing is that the 1100 was monochrome and I doubt I would have much fun with it now. I'd like something I could used the old Tandy desktop and classic games on. So maybe if it were color and cheap.

Haha! My friend had one of those things. On top of being 1990's big, they were heavy. Oh, and the LCD sucked. Any animation took at least a second for the ghost to disappear. But it was a solid piece of equipment, built like an anchor.

More like mid 80's big ;). It's a blue/silver screen, Axe.

And yeah, they had a lot of ghosting on the screen. But this will probably run longer than I'm alive. It's built better than any modern computer, and has one of the nicest keyboards I've ever used.
