purduecrum #26 Posted May 20, 2012 Bump... Just sent it to an even $20,000. Congrats!
solidcorp #27 Posted May 20, 2012 I'm basically using KS as a pre-order system to minimize risk and waste. I never anticipated such a fantastic response. I'm ordering the components in bulk to order and not planning on continuing to make cartridges after it's over. 3 days left! Thanks!
solidcorp #28 Posted May 20, 2012 Thanks for your support and nicely done, I just saw you do that! May I mention your name in a KS update?
phattyboombatty #29 Posted May 21, 2012 Just put my donation in. Very excited to be a part of this Scott! And thank you for your hard work and excellent documentation of all that went into it! Looking forward to playing a masterpiece of classic programming history!
solidcorp #30 Posted May 23, 2012 Today is your last chance to order Star Castle 2600! Less than 24 hours left before the Kickstarter campaign is over! That was shameless. On a cooler note, I've been talking to Ben Fry and he has agreed to do a distellamap of the game! That's very cool. If you haven't seen them, check them out here: http://benfry.com/distellamap/
Legend #31 Posted May 29, 2012 Any word yet on when the download links will be sent out for those of use who opted for the download donation?

Chuck D. Head #33 Posted June 12, 2012 :_( No flashy clear cartridge for me. Nobody thought to call me? HTF did I miss this? Suicidal.
+Random Terrain #34 Posted June 12, 2012 :_( No flashy clear cartridge for me. Nobody thought to call me? HTF did I miss this? Suicidal. I think he's going to send one to me for free for semi-subliminally helping to guide things down this path.
Gateway #35 Posted July 27, 2012 Hey Scott, July is nearly over. How are things going with the cartridge production? Update please.
Lentzquest #36 Posted July 27, 2012 An email was just sent to backers on the status of the project. Looks good so far. The delay's fine with me for the sake of getting a quality cart.
+Atari_Warlord #37 Posted July 27, 2012 :_( No flashy clear cartridge for me. Nobody thought to call me? HTF did I miss this? Suicidal. I feel your pain. I've been very bad at keeping up with Atari news and just discovered this thread today. I hope I can get one of these cartridges eventually. I love it when individuals take on the "can't do it" challenges. Is someone working on Tempest and Doom for the 2600 yet?
Future Primitive #38 Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) I'm a huge Star Castle fan just as everyone else that has posted here. I even have a boxed Star Castle for the Vectrex! I would pay for a cartridge of Star Castle with that beautiful flyer art on the label! (Plus that box...wink wink nod nod) Edited July 27, 2012 by Future Primitive
Gateway #39 Posted July 28, 2012 K, thanks Scott for the e-mail and Kickstarter update about the production delay.
+cmart604 #40 Posted July 28, 2012 Don't mind the delay at all, especially now that I've seen the new pics!! WOW!
Waterborn #41 Posted August 29, 2012 How about an update? Haven't heard a peep since late July. September is in less that a week. I want my Starcastle!
PFL #42 Posted August 29, 2012 So, since the KS raised 200% does that mean that there will be a second run of carts sometime down the line? If so, I'd be interested...
Crazy Climber #43 Posted August 30, 2012 I am pretty sure he said this would be the only run of carts, who knows though, if the demand is there why not right?
phattyboombatty #44 Posted September 4, 2012 Bumpdate?
Lentzquest #45 Posted September 4, 2012 Yeah, delays are okay, if not expected. However a pic or two of progress would be awesome. Would love to see all those clear cart shells lined up on all their glory.
rolenta #46 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) I just received an email that the carts are finally being shipped. He said to be patient though since there are over 500 orders and he could only do a few a day. Edited September 5, 2012 by rolenta

King_Salamon #49 Posted September 5, 2012 I think once Scott is done building the 500 and has them shipped, he'll be done building carts for a while. Lol Good to see they are starting to get out there! Enjoy everyone! Joey
+iesposta #50 Posted September 8, 2012 My boxed cartridge Star Castle arrived today! It is number 20. I thought I was 13, but I guess the higher pledges were numbered first. Opened the shrink wrap and admired the finished cart. It's so unique, with the custom clear shell, clear end label, custom printed circuit board with two white LEDs and Star Castle in only 8K. Completely happy with all of it! Didn't get to play it yet. Forgot to check for the instructions. Came along with the CD containing the program and source code, etc. Only thing I didn't like was it doesn't have 2600 on it. I can understand removing all Atari and symbols, but it should say "For the 2600." Wasn't it ruled you couldn't trademark or copyright a number? Edit: It does have "Star Castle 2600"... on the circuit board visible through the back cart window! AtariBrian, mine was the $100 pledge. Irregardless of all the "discussion" around this project, I chose to support it, and had a part of it coming to market with my suggestion that since this version wasn't likely to be sold, that someone else remake Star Castle, which appeared quite quickly as a ring demo, then a full-blown 32K game, then this version went to Kickstarter.
