Inky #26 Posted January 29, 2003 Am I the only one that liked the Genesis version?
Nukey Shay #27 Posted January 29, 2003 Yup. The thing that I don't care for in the Genny version is that it looks too cartoony.
Witchfynde #28 Posted January 29, 2003 No, myself and one or two other guys on here also gave our thumbs up, you must've missed it.
Vic George 2K3 #29 Posted January 30, 2003 The best home version of Ms. Pac-Man right now would have to be the one included in Microsoft Return Of Arcade(?) for the PC, followed by the Ms. Pac-Man featured in the Namco Museum collections for Playstation and Nintendo 64, and the Atari 7800 version. The Genesis and Super NES versions, which were modeled after the NES version by Tengen, offer additional mazes, but the game doesn't last past the 36th screen or something. (BTW, the Genesis and Super NES versions are pretty much identical to each other, despite the fact that Williams contracted out to an independent developer for the Super NES version.) There's also the Ms. Pac-Man game that's in Pac-Man 2 for the Super NES (accessible only through a code, if you want to play it without trying to find it in the game itself) that Namco made slightly more challenging with the first screen than they had to by misaligning the bottom tunnel entrances with one of the passageways leading away from the ghost pen. dcden #30 Posted February 6, 2003 In order from favorite to least favorite, of the versions I own: 1. Super NES (identical to Genesis version?) - I like the 36 different mazes and extra fruits (although eating a hand seems gruesome). I just wish I had a joystick rather than a joypad because the game can be hard to control! 2. Atari 5200 - This game was the one that had the most replay value of any game I own for the 5200. 3. Nintendo 64 (Namco Museum) - The translation was not as good as the others on the compilation (Dig Dug, Galaga, etc.), but it was decent enough. 4. Game Boy (MsP/Super Pacman) - Hard to see the maze in the full screen mode, and in the 1/2 screen mode you couldn't see where the monsters were coming from off screen. I really bought this just for Super Pacman.
