+thegoldenband #26 Posted May 22, 2012 Ok, I've heard several people mention that people will post auctions with a high price "just to attract attention". Am I the only one that sees this as a negative? Anytime I see an auction like this, the seller is added to my mental black list. I have no interest in dealing with them in any manner. This way of "selling" is just an incredible turn off to me. Oh, it's absolutely a negative to me. Can't speak for anyone else, though.

Yeah, I dont like this kind of selling either....I too thought it was to attract people to his auction..buy I looked..this is his only auction....weird. I guess he likes the attention. +intvnut #28 Posted May 23, 2012 Now it's listing for $25,000... Not exactly worth a car to me.
IntellivisionDude #29 Posted May 23, 2012 bigbadseaserpent is no stranger to high priced auctions. I remember him from before. His auctions were up there with bigtimcut and robotkingnes for ridiculousness.
Fushek #30 Posted May 23, 2012 Now it's listing for $25,000... Not exactly worth a car to me. Yes, but he has now also included an orphan overlay 3 set and at least a cart of every original Intellivision game. Definitely worth that additional 10K. Ok, I've heard several people mention that people will post auctions with a high price "just to attract attention". Am I the only one that sees this as a negative? Oh, it's absolutely a negative to me. Can't speak for anyone else, though. Immediate negative. Whenever I see his auctions, I just laugh. I resell on eBay at times but I would never dream of doing something like this. It would ruin my good reputation.

Rev #32 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) Bigbadseaserpent makes Robotkingnes look like a saint now....seriously, is he watching this thread with a jar of lube getting off on our comments? What a freak, If you are watching, I challenge you sea serpent, come in here and be a man and tell us why you are listing it so high, never got attention as a kid or something? Someone send him this thread through ebay. Edited May 23, 2012 by revolutionika

JasonlikesINTV #34 Posted May 24, 2012 Seriously? Asking price 15,000? Im rich and I didnt even know it... Plus there is not any pictures. What possible reason did he list this auction? Also, a Spiker REPRODUCTION box? WTF? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 130699762362 seller: bigbadseaserpent in case he pulls down the auction: Up for auction are the following Intellivision items: MUSIC SYNTHESIZER - Still in the postal packing that it was shipped in. Was purchased as an item in "like new" condition. SPIKER - Includes the game, the manual, and a reproduction box in "like new" condition. ECS - Factory Sealed. Box is in excellent condition. INTELLIVOICE - Factory Sealed. Box is in excellent condition. HOMEBREW GAMES - Same Game & Robots (2004), Minehunter, Stonix, and Space Patrol. All previously owned, but purchased in "like new" condition. Never used or opened by me personally. HOMEBREW GAMES - Donkey Kong Arcade (2011), Rocky and Bullwinkle, Yogi's Frustration, Adventures of Tron, Same Game & Robots (2012), Spina the Bee, and Illusions. All purchased directly from IntelligentVision and never opened by me personally. Ok. let's do the math....(and just so we're clear, this is not my auction Rev! ) Music Synth- Does he mean postal packaging from back in the day or from when he bought it recently? I'll assume the latter. $100-150 Spiker - repro box adds $10 to maybe $250 for loose with manual, let's call it $300 generously because 10% is going to charity (Not to be too cynical, but how do we know that the money actually gets there?) ECS - sealed - $150-200 Intellivoice - even sealed, still only $25 Homebrew games- original group of Intelligentvision ones - $500 maybe, at $125 each give or take? Especially since 3 out of the 4 either have been re-issued or are likely to be re-issued. Homebrew games part 2 - newer releases - another $500, at around $70-75 each with a bit of a premium since most are now sold out. So maybe $1500-1600 tops? Am I wrong? Discuss. I was thinking that if properly parted out.....maybe $2000-$2250 on a reeeally good day, but only for the convenience of not having to search for them for 6 months waiting for deals. If he gets anything near that for the lot, he should donate anything over $2000 to the Home brew/developer community....the ones who intentionally keep prices reasonable despite the fact that they could likely get double on eBay for their games. Just sayin'

+cmart604 #36 Posted June 6, 2012 What's this guy smoking? $400 for these? really? really? http://rover.ebay.co...1018804425/item Yah, sometimes it's a good idea to slightly overprice $15-20 worth of stuff. Maybe another $20 or so if a few of them have the colour manuals.

Villanovafan #41 Posted June 6, 2012 No I didn't but I am looking forward to the releases of King of the Mountain, Super Pro Football, and Rick Dynamite. I will buy 2 copies of those games. One for me and one to sell. Donkey Kong was the first time I put something up for sale since the D2K game already has it on the cartridge. I was tempted by Spina The Bee but I will hold off until any of the other games go for sale.

JasonlikesINTV #49 Posted June 9, 2012 They originally listed it for around $370, but cancelled and re-listed for $470. Must have recalculated after seeing Math Fun :-) There is a guy here on Craigslist selling a loose console, 10 boxed games (nothing special), and 20 loose games (not listed or pictured), but he is calculating $650 value according to this pricing: 150 - Console 10*30 - Boxed Games 20*10 - Non-Boxed Games 650 Total Value He went from $600 to $500 a few days ago. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/vgm/3062303901.html
