I never saw that one...Is it a lost prototype, or is it something you have found?

It was in a video on Atarimania.com. I think nobody just never noticed it before.

Weird! Any more info on this?
[/quote]

No. I was just looking at all the videos on Atarimania.com and noticed this game which I've never seen or heard of before.

It's the bottom, right hand one called Atari CED In-House Promo - Second Quarter 1983.

Wouldn't that be a computer game, not 5200?

Watch the video I posted above.

It may be no more than a tech demo.

That's possible. It does imply that in the video.

Looks like some sort of light gun game, strangely enough.

Looks like a memory match type of playfield to me.

Yeah, that seems to make more sense. The sprites also look "monster-esque", and there are obvious matches between panels. Anyone have any ideas what this title could potentially have been?

Is the something in particular that makes you think that?

Or some game that uses the XG-1

How is that possible when the XG-1 was an Atari Corp product years later and this proto is from Atari Inc before the 5200 was discontinued? BUMP due to discussion over at an Atari themed Facebook group...

I thought all banned members had the word 'Banned' under their picture?

I doubt that's what it is, but it resembles the obscure arcade game Zzyzzyxx by Cinematronics after seeing footage of it today.
