Removing Case Labels?

Whats the best way to remove the silver CV case labels without creasing/damaging them?

 

I am probably going to end up with another CV because I want the Galaxian that is with it and I see the front grill has one of the fins broken. I have case top with no sticker... so.....

I would assume you would do it the same way you would do other labels, heat.

 

Try using a heat gun to heat up the glue and carefully remove the label. The age of the stickers will increase the chance of tearing it, so go slowly and do not over-heat them.

I have access to a heat gun. But would a hair drier on high heat be sufficient to loosen the glue?

Sorry to post so late to the topic... I don't get around here much these days.

 

A hair dryer is worth a try. If heat doesn't do the job, you could also use lighter fluid. Dab some around the label, let it wick under, then lift gently and apply more fluid. With some patience, you should be able to dissolve all of the adhesive. And the lighter fluid won't damage the plastic.
