Stupid question - is there a SynthCart equivalent for A8?

I'm no expert on A8 and since there's so much "love" for C-64 chiptune music on YouTube via the various SynthCart options for that platform, I thought I'd ask if there's an equivalent for the A8 for artists who'd like to use the Pokey [instead of SID]... Thanks!

Not sure what Synthcart is, but there's good players out there, but you can't control them with MIDI I guess. RMT, Chaos Music Composer, Black Magic (I think it was) and more

 

And there is a MIDI interface for Atari 8-bits too, never tested if any of those would work with the composers

There's been several MIDI interfaces for the Atari 8-bit. Not sure if anyone has written much software to use the 8-bit itself as the instrument though. A prog with pluggable "instrument" modules controllable by a MIDI controller would be pretty neat.

 

I don't think the MIDI interfaces are very cheap to find for these machines though.
