CPUWIZ
Hello, I made 10 of these on the weekend, people keep saying they are interested. So, ideally, I would like to sell the whole lot to someone who wants to keep one and sell the others. In that case, I'd take $120.00 shipped. If nobody is interested in buying the whole lot, I will charge $15.00 shipped for one. If nobody is interested, my cats have new toys. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/93491-save-key-review/ PM me, if interested. Cheers, -R P.S. The keyring attachment is included, I left it off, because I think it is probably overkill.

+Gemintronic
Didn't make it in time. CPUWIZ was kind enough to message me. Still, can these me made from off the shelf parts? I'd rather encourage CPUWIZ by buying one form him. But, if these suckers are no longer available..
Wickeycolumbus
Yep, all you need are two resistors and a 24 series serial EEPROM. I don't have the schematic handy but I've made several.
the.golden.ax
Can anyone try out and tell me how well those DB9s fit in a VecX controller port, and if they fit nice what the part number is on whatever site they can be obtained from? Any other leads or links that would get me further on building my own? Also, I seem to remember CPUWIZ saying the usual DB9 connectors had to be modified somehow. SOunds like the standard off-the-shelf DB9s are slightly too big. I'm sure CPUWIZ could tell you how much crack I'm smoking on this.
