Just think of it like Beatmania or any other rhythm game that you'd normally operate with a controller in your hands rather than under your feet, only with 8-bit chiptune renditions of DDR songs for the music. I got to Phase 18 in this go round and that is when icycles are falling off the pipes and floors. The fireballs go insane as well.
