Synthpopalooza
The Violator one is a fairly easy one to do, as that one only uses about 4 or 5 colors. Nice to see a fellow modehead, tho personally I am more of an Erasure/Vince Clarke fan.

mrnukem
How does details mask work and how would I generate a details mask from a picture to use in the Rasta Converter. I poked around the Rasta FAQ and Forum Posts but still did not find the answer to this question so decided it was best to ask. BTW all the pictures are really great. I love this tool and have been playing with it for a long time now and still enjoying it.

Would they extract to a known atari picture format so that i could use one of the many picture viewers with slide show function? thank you
Roydea6
With SpartaDOS you can batch file the Raster View images to view continuously just needs a key press for each new view.

RastaConverter executables are not only raw data but the main part is the raster program that shows the data. The program is generated for each picture separately. Do you happen to have a link to a document explaining how the details mask function works? The details mask is briefly described here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/200118-images-generated-by-rastaconverter/page__st__175#entry2581819 Let me know if you need some more info. So if I take the original picture then cover with a black layer and use an erase function to re-expose important areas of the photo would that work as a mask picture? It will work. I usually add a new layer, select a shape that I want to make more detailed, fill it with white, invert selection, fill the rest with black.
