The one i have right now is just so user unfriendly for me.

www.atarimania.com
Please bear with me, this is my first ever conversion and the picture has many rough spots. I didn't touch any of the settings at all, just chose an image and ran it through the program until the conversion seemed good enough. Rybags
It's probably not a great RC candidate in that there's not a lot of colour variety to begin with. But it's a good candidate for a chunky mode as most of the angles are shallow (like the top of the fuselage) (and chunky in this sense being the 160x240 which RC can produce)

Rybags
One of the best there, barely any colour glitching to be seen and really good detail representation in the foreground.

Gunstar
It's a good one, but save your praise of it being amazing and one of the best; some how, while reviewing the .png with i-View 64, the images got mixed up and what you see above is the destination image. Below is the real output image. And it's only 70 colors. I am attaching a new .xex too, I'm not sure if the one above is the final or an earlier version. Rybags
Still pretty good - I ran the Xex in Altirra and witnessed it (though generally emulation and the precision of an LCD monitor makes most pics look worse than if you used an old CRT TV and real computer). R0ger
Altirra emulates old screen pretty well. You just have to fiddle with it a bit ?

R0ger
5 hours ago, drpeter said: What 'fiddles' do you have set up? The most important are: view / filter mode / bilinear system / configure system / video / scalines system / configure system / video / pal artifacting (low is cleaner, high is more realistic, and needed for phase artifact effects) Then view / adjust screen effects. Scanline intensity I set to 0, distortions to 0. Bloom is the magic option IMHO. Start with 0 treshold, 0.5 radius, 0.5 direct and 0.5 indirect. Increase treshold to make dark areas darker, mix direct and indirect to achieve desired sharpness. It's also good idea to adjust colors in view / adjust colors. Like boosting contrast and saturation a bit, or adjusting gamma.
