Rare Superman Cart - Up For Private Sale

I'm pretty serious about selling my recently acquired Atari 2600 Superman cart labeled with the Sears Tele-games logo. Photos attached are of the cart.

Serious offers only, plz!

I hold the option to refuse all proposed offers, close the offer, and keep the cart for myself; no offense to any interested parties.

I would prefer to NOT go through any auction sites & have them rake me over the coals with fees & whatnot.

I will accept payment through PayPal only! No other method, please! (Just want to ensure everyone gets what they want.)

I have received a few offers already, just want to open it up to as many collectors as possible since this appears to be a diamond in the rough & in all fairness, everyone deserves a chance.post-33334-0-55332900-1341968662_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-59280800-1341968660_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-17491200-1341968658_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-08501500-1341968656_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-28062600-1341968653_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-12531700-1341968651_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-55191200-1341968648_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-01042800-1341968646_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-08308900-1341968644_thumb.jpgpost-33334-0-10480000-1341968642_thumb.jpg

Congrats on the sale :) . I remember one coming up for auction on eBay when I was in college (this was...2003, I think? maybe '04?)...it sold for $700-something back then, but I think it was either the first one discovered or one of only a couple at that time.

The greed conclusion: EVERY SUPERMAN PICTURE LABEL IS WORTH MORE THAN $500. I WILL BUY EVERY ONE I CAN FOR $500 TO FLIP FOR $700.

The collector's conclusion (and my conclusion): Prices on this will level out well below that price as more (not very many more) pop up.

Maybe I'm just nutty, but I don't believe that the color yellow and the "Sears Telegames" logo is worth $500 :ponder:

Not nutty at all, but it's a market thing. I would like to pay $100 for one, I could stomach that for a nice rare label variation. Unfortunately I may have to pay quite a bit more.

The truth is often somewhere in between, but not always...

Agreed. It's no more fun than the game you can pick up for a buck or two. The label doesn't make it a different game. Some of you collectors are whack.
