If so, I have a list of dozens and dozens I need you to pick up for me... http://atariage.com/software_list.html?SystemID=2600 http://atariage.com/software_list.html?SystemID=2600 BTW @ OP...Qubes for $50 is a fair deal. Very clever but I stand by my original statement. Unless you're looking for prototypes or oddities you can find most loose carts for under $100 (if you're willing to be patient). WSGEXE #9 Posted July 14, 2012 I was addressing an assumedly new collector. 10s & 9s do not represent an average of any sorts. I won't argue over this silliness. I was attempting to encourage the OP only.

Mxyzptlk #11 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Tomarc the Barbarian/Motocross Racer and Swordquest: Waterworld are the only two r-9's that I bought for under a hundred dollars. Of the VERY few r-10's that I have, I paid well north of a hundred dollars. The most I ever paid was for a Halloween r-8 @ the Portland retro show. I was probably a little too eager and paid WAYYY too much, but I have it and I am happy. As for the O.P., YES that is a great deal. +bennybingo #12 Posted July 14, 2012 No argument...just stating the obvious. The OP was speaking about paying $50 for a copy of Qbert's Cubes...an R9 http://www.atariage....wareLabelID=380 If he was talking about a common game, it would have been a very different story. I just felt that your extremely generalized statement was not only wrong in a general sense, but more importantly, wrong in how it pertained to the topic at hand. Yes, you can get the vast amount of the 2600 library for under $100 (I would go as far as to say most games are $5 to $0.50 each), but not the rare ones. Qbert's Cubes most certainly falls into this "rare" category. As I said earlier...$50 is a fair price for this game. I regularly see it go for $90 and up. Zwackery #13 Posted July 14, 2012 Qubes is probably more like an R8 at this point. The rarity ratings on AA are in need of updating. As for the value of the loose cart, $50 is about average for this title. It has been selling loose in the $50-60 range for awhile; yes, people may bid it up from time to time, which is why it pays to have patience, but the price point for this game has dropped from previous levels. pacgreg #14 Posted July 15, 2012 Bummer, was hoping to turn this into a quadrun because I am more of a player than a collector...
AtariLeaf #15 Posted July 15, 2012 Qubes is probably more like an R8 at this point. The rarity ratings on AA are in need of updating. Agreed. As an example, I purchased Bumper Bash with manual for $41 recently (got a $15 discount from the ebay seller for a broken dust cover on it making it $26) which is pretty good for an R9 but it doesn't seem to sell for nearly what it used to years ago. Why do you think Qubes is a R-8 now? Also, where do you get that 50$ is an average price for Qubes?
Zwackery #17 Posted July 15, 2012 Why do you think Qubes is a R-8 now? Also, where do you get that 50$ is an average price for Qubes? 1) Because of the number that have appeared on eBay and elsewhere in the last couple of years and 2) because of the discussion concerning R8s in the Rarity Forum. The $50-60 average for Qubes is based on data from 2011 and 2012 (eBay sales). One sold on Friday for $58.77. Now, this one sale is does not a price point make, but it is in line with sales from the last year or so. Simply, there are more of these carts in circulation. Adding a manual boosts the value slightly. The real money is in the box.
high voltage #18 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) Yes there should be a difference. loose or cib I thought wow, a cib Qubes $50? Awesome. But it seems it's only the cart. I recently got a cib Bumper Bsash for $66, now THAT was a bargain. I recently got a cib PictureMate for $70, another bargain.
