Magnavox Odyssey 2 power supply for system with detach joysticks

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just received an Odyssey 2 and was given the wrong power supply for it. I was wondering if anyone has knowledge of the power supply needed for the Odyssey 2 with the detachable joysticks?

Thanks

Mike

I have only seen two power supplies for the Odyssey 2 and one has the split for the Odyssey 2 Voice module.

Maybe another member can help?

The voice requires it's own power supply?

You can use a 2600 power supply withe detachable controller O2. That's what I use.

I thought so. The two plugs for the different O2 systems since I have never owned the detachable controller O2. I just was not sure.

Thanks for clearing that up Tempest!

The power supply on the right is supposed to have more output over the standard power supply when you use the voice module.

I have an O2 with the detachable controllers and it uses the same power pack as the the O2 I just got with the non-detachable controllers. Seems Magnovox went back and forth alot!

The Voice does not require a power supply. In fact, it accepts no power supply. You couldn't plug one in if you wanted to.

I think the dual-plug power adapter was for both versions of the Odyssey 2 (hardwired and removable joysticks).
