qbert815 #1 Posted July 18, 2012 Hi all, I just joined and am trying to get some of my stuff set up so that I have a working system for playing colecovision games (that is a topic for another post). However, I have a lot more stuff that might be of better use to someone else, so I sat down today and took inventory to see what I really have. I have a lot more than I realized! I don't know enough to be sure if I have anything of interest to a collector, and I know I have more research to do if I do want to sell some of it, but this is step one and I am proud of myself. So I couldn't resist sharing it with someone who might be as interested as I am in such things. This seems like the right place. So here's my list, if anyone cares to look. Does anyone see anything that is rare, or interesting? Besides the games being AWESOME, of course, do I have anything good? (Also, I know I have data packs for much of the software, but I can't find them, so right now I just have cases and manuals. Of course.) playazclub #2 Posted July 18, 2012 Nothing jumps out that I see - but you have a dozen or more games that individually sell for $10-$15. I always thought Artillery Duel was so cool - Be sure to check and see if you have overlays for War Games, Mouse Trap, BJ/Poker, Smurf PNP - I thinks that's it
NIAD #3 Posted July 18, 2012 The two 5 1/4" Disk Drives are THE MOST valuable items in your list seeing as they sell for anywhere from $100-$250 depending on their condition, if they are verified to be in working order and if they include all the original items that they originally sold with (two owner's manuals, power supply, ADAMnet cable, Disk Manager disk and MOST importantly... the box and two styrofoam packing inserts). If you are thinking of selling any extras, make sure you really test out the one you are keeping to make sure it is in good working order, otherwise keep it as a spare/backup system. As far as the Disk Drives, keep both of them! You'll be happy one day that you did.
qbert815 #4 Posted July 18, 2012 Keep them, huh? I was thinking they were the main thing I DON'T need or feel any attachment toward... I agree about the extras. I am kindof holding off on selling anything until I can get my system working to test stuff. But I am impatient at best... :-)
NIAD #5 Posted July 19, 2012 Well, if you feel no need to keep the disk drives, then at the very least test them out and insure that they are in working order (when you get the ADAM Computer up and running) and then offer them for sale in the AtariAge MarketPlace or put them up for auction on eBay. If they are verified to be in working order, you should be able to get roughly $150 for each one, but eBay auctions have a tendency to take on a life of their own and you could end up making a lot more.
