I was a big fan of the original on the AES. In fact, it was my next game purchase after my all-time favorite - Magician Lord. It appears

only as a Neo Geo cd exclusive which I didn't have.... My question... was this as good as the original or basically a facsimile

of the first game? (Not that's a bad thing....)

If I recall correctly, it was more of the same.. Which isn't a bad thing in this case.

Yep, more of the same. Unfortunately it's also only in Japanese, but it's not like there's a really deep story or anything.
