1. No Christmas story: just a weak hint of Hanukkah.

2. No Hollywood Squares: and no Hunter either.

3. No easy embrace for us: just friendly hugs & kisses for now.

4. No easy success: it usually backfires.

5. No pastel blue skies: paint it black, 'cause we're having a fine time.

Haven't figured out the first 3 clues yet, but I am guessing #4 refers to having to kill the furies indirectly with the bricks otherwise a direct hit causes them to multiply! And #5 I think refers to the gamescreen being black yet the label art suggests the sun hasn't set in the sky yet( or it is dusk ).

I'm not sure I can come up with a way to make this fit all the clues, but the blue/black sky made me think of Glacier Patrol, which is blue on the box but black on the game screen.

On this I was thinking from

Backfire - (truck noise)

and hanukkah candles - Fire

Hugs and Kisses - Rescued!

All pointed to a Firetruck (Which is the only work in the dictionary that starts with "F" and ends with "uck")

It does have a candelabra you can collect (Hanukkah), rushing out of the door into the dragon's den usually backfires, the sky on the box has some blue in it but it's black in-game.

 

Can't figure out the other clues though. I think "hugs and kisses" refers to "X's and O's"... but if it's not 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe (which fits the Hollywood Squares clue, too), then what? Does it point to something else 3-D-ish?

Dragon fire, backfire... you may be on the right track.

Not E.T. or Dragonfire, though Nathan's correct about the meaning of "hugs and kisses" and has the right idea about the blue/black thing.

 

I think it'll help when, for a start, people are looking exclusively at, let's say, the source of certain games.
