boisy
Hi, I'm looking for the source code for the Atari 130XE OS ROM and saw this thread. However, I don't see a link to the source code. Is it posted somewhere that I missed?
luckybuck
All we have is here: https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Articles#section-Articles-SourceCode and here: https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Articles#section-Articles-OperatingSystemsOS
boisy
Thank you so much for this link. I was able to get the source and build it with ca65 and load the object into the ROM emulator successfully!

luckybuck
? @tschak909, I really have to answer your and Joe's e-mail 2 weeks ago...; @all: O. K., another new topic. Charles Marslett has designed the so called fastchip (fp from $D800 to $DFFF), drac030 has corrected his source code, but as far as I understand, this is for the 400/800 only. So, if we take that source code, it will result into 4 new OS ROMs: OS A NTSC + fp new OS B NTSC + fp new OS A PAL + fp new OS B PAL (from kr0tki) + fp new This plus some ideas from 'Dr. Strangelove' will result for the 400/800 in even then new ROMS: OS A NTSC + fp new + monitor from $D000 to $D7FF OS B NTSC + fp new + monitor from $D000 to $D7FF OS A PAL + fp new + monitor from $D000 to $D7FF OS B PAL (from kr0tki) + fp new + monitor from $D000 to $D7FF Omnimon! would fit perfect, on the other hand for such old-fashioned guys like me, a new bank switch based BUG/65 with 8k in that place would be really nice, too. Further: https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=AMOEBA if we may get the source code from Harry? And I thought due to C-19 I could take a break, so I thought... Alfred
Is the corrected FP code posted somewhere ?
luckybuck
Yes, it is: http://drac030.krap.pl/en-inne-pliki.php Have already done the comparison and can send you the results via e-mail? You and drac030 are both working on the 65816, therefore, it would make sense, if you may work together? Have already asked him, whether I may forward his e-mail to you. You both along with tschak909 and all the others are the founders of the platinum Atari age! :-)))
luckybuck
Further, please take into account drac030's incredible U-Basic: https://atariwiki.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=U-Basic with 46042 bytes free !!! With the new fp, of course!

luckybuck
MeToo! Just little, but in ROM there should be fixed... All the credits go to drac030: Edited May 11, 2020 by luckybuck forgot something
drac030
4 hours ago, luckybuck said: drac030 has corrected his source code Err, no, I do not remember correcting anything. The archive contains the FP code as I got it (just see the dates: all 1997), I only converted the original source to another assembler. The original was in MAC/65. If there are differences, maybe it is a later revision (rev. E it says), or maybe it was corrected by someone else before I found it. luckybuck
Hi drac030, that is so modest... Have send you an e-mail with the evidences. Did a binary and text comparison of the 2 files. Thank you so much in the name of the community. Your work is highly appreciated! ? Edited May 11, 2020 by luckybuck forgot something
