Atari Cart Holder

Here's a few pics of a wine crate that I customized to hold my Atari 2600 carts.

How do you guys store yours when not being used?

That wine crate looks nice. When they aren't out I usually store my carts in those clear stackable bins that you can get at Target/Walmart. I can put about 60 carts in each one and I can see what in the bins by the cart's end labels.

i always keep mine on display, alpha by company, on a flat shelved wall unit

My vote also goes for the clear boxes. I use Sterilite 24"x16"x6" (guessing). They're the perfect height for Atari carts standing up, with a little extra room for those oddball carts (M-Network etc).

Chalk up another vote for the clear stackables. The clear stackables are great because very little dust will get onto the carts when the boxes are sealed and it's easy to see which boxes hold which games.

Just yesterday I got a wire wine rack from where I work and that's where I store my systems...I have 4 systems all ready to be hooked up and played.

 

As for my games, I have a small media shelf with most of my games on it..except for Genesis games.

I use the Sterilite clear plastic bins, like everyone else.

 

It's the one that the AtariAge site recommended.

 

It has worked excellent! It fits neatly under my bed, holds atleast 80 carts, and all of the games are visible and easy to take out.

 

The only bad thing is that I have just filled my first bin. They don't stay secure unless you have a bunch of them in there.

You can alleviate that problem by using foam strips wherever carts are not present.

I keep mine in 8-track carrying cases... as I travel with them quite a bit.

I Use the Plastic Storage Bins that you can slide under a bed, but I don't of course. They are the perfect size for both Boxes and Carts, and I bouhgt them from a Discount Store called Red Dot.

I cut 14x10x8 boxes in half, each one holds 51 carts (3x17).

i just leave my carts lying out, i guess i should get a holder of some sort in the near future
