PFL
Just wondering. After all the debacle in the 80's it would seem like an obvious game to port to the VCS nowadays... at least just for the twisted humour of the conceit.
+atari2600land
I tried. Maybe I should give it another go. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/133394-kc-munchkin/page__hl__+kc +munchkin
thevnaguy
I tried. Maybe I should give it another go. http://www.atariage....__ kc munchkin Most definately, was one of my favorite games!!!!
Crazy Climber
Well, according to Atari....Magnavox "ported" Pac man and re named it KC munchkin so I guess it's been ported to nearly every stsem ever made...it was just called Pac-Man
PacManPlus
I second this. I was thinking of attempting to port Pick Axe Pete (and I actually started it), but this would be awesome! Hmmm... Ball (smart) flickered at 15Hz for the 'energizers'... Missiles 0 & 1 flickered at 15 Hz for the rest of the dots? (Usually I hate flickering for objects, but these are only dots so who cares) That leaves Players 0 & 1 flickered at 30Hz for the three monsters and the player? Or Player 0 used for the actual player and Player 1 flickered at 20Hz for the monsters?
Lord Helmet
I'd love to see this. Didn't KC Munchkin have a playfield that isn't mirrored? Would that make it tougher to do an accurate port?
+Gemintronic
With SuperChip RAM the moving pellets could be reproduced with playfield pixels. Or you could multiplex the 2 missiles and ball. What this topic reminds me of is that we should be making trademark free but similar games for homebrew. Call it "I.M. Hungry" or something. I Know the maze is symmetrical but I thought that with today's coding knowledge that could be overcome - even if it does flicker a little. A little flicker never hurt Ladybug on the VCS. pacgreg
This sounds awesome, KC munchkin is a fun game, but there are almost no other good games or the system so I rarely dig out the O2 to play it
the.golden.ax
I'd love to see Turtles on 2600 or 7800.
Impaler_26
I'd love to see Turtles on 2600 or 7800. Yep, i'd like to see an 1:1 conversion of Turtles on the 2600 too. At least there's Alien's Return which has similar gameplay...
carmel_andrews
So long as it's an improvement on the official 2600 pacman, i am all for it perhaps whoever does code it should get the people of AA to put it up as a paid for download (only if it's better then pacman 2600) perhaps pacmanplus or andrew davie/wickeyc or thomas jentsch might volunteer

I think the only classic console to get that was the O^2...

Impaler_26
I just remembered that there is already a nice game with K.C. for the 2600: K.C.'s Crazy Nightmare Now we just need an 1:1 Conversion of K.C. Munchkin for the 2600!!
