Hey guys

Sorry about the missed deadline. I ended up taking far more order than I thought I would.

Anyways, most of the cable shipped today! and should be in your hands early next week.

Here's what shipped:

I shipped all S-video only cable orders today.

Later this weekend I will ship any Scart RGB cable only orders.

In about two weeks or so I will send those who ordered both a Scart and S-video cables (which there was two of these orders).

Also, I have a large S-video cable order from Songbird that will ship in about two or three weeks.

Thanks for your patience on this. Also, once I ship the last of the cables, I will post up details on how these cables are built so anyone else wanting to make themselves one of these in the future will have a guideline. Open Source of sorts.

Some pics of what the finished cables look like:

I almost forgot to add that those who say S video is great on the Jag are 100% correct. It's like playing on a completely different system than the old crappy RF

I wouldn't say the S-Video is great so much as the RF really, really sucks.

Even the composite out on the Jaguar is much better than the RF. S-Video is a small step up from composite (to me, the sharpness of the picture is about the same, but there's less color bleed). I've built a couple of RGBS to YPbPr converters, though, and that looks absolutely amazing, with sharp pixels and no distinguishable color bleed. Soon I'm gonna try making a converter using that chip from the SNES so I can hopefully power it from the Jaguar itself, and I won't have to use a separate dual supply.
