FS: SEGA: Sealed Lunar:TSS, Region-free Bios Sega CD model 1, + games

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys!

I used to collect sega 16bit stuff like a madman, but I am focused on moving to Los Angeles and currently out of work my priorities have changed.

I have a few things to sell today:

PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING

Sealed NIB LUNAR: The Silver Star for Sega CD - $100

Still in shrink wrap. Buyer will pay shipping plus insurance and delivery tracking to be safe of course.

This is a one of a kind find, I've seen them go for 75 opened with manual on feebay, never one still in shrinkwrap.

One of the best games ever made in my opinion, but definitely the top game made on the Sega CD. Great use of sprites and a real classic built for the system, on the system it was made for. If you buy this, please do not open it, put it on a shelf and aquire a cdr copy of the game to play. I can help you find it if you need.

EDIT: THERE ARE SOME TEARS IN THE SHRINK WRAP, UPDATED WITH BETTER PICS:

SEGA CD Model 1 with a Region-free hacked JPN Bios - $125

Some smart dudes over on assemblergames dumped the bios and disassembled it, removed all region checks for cds, and bundled it up and have been testing it for the last 2 years. I had originally used the US bios hacked, but the compatibility with certain JPN discs wouldn't work since there is code missing on the US bios that some JPN cd games need to display things correctly. So the solution with this system is a working JAPAN BIOS running when combined with a US Genesis just fine. When the system runs it displays JAPANESE SEGA CD Home screen, but navigation has never been an issue for me.

I also recently rebuilt the CD tray and installed a new rubber band in place of the old worn-out one. System works like a charm. I will include a Sega AC adaptor I use, but it was originally for the base converter, but works fine.

SYSTEM CONDITION: HAS SCRATCHES, DENTS, DINGS, SMUDGES, BUT RUNS AND PLAYS PERFECTLY! THIS UNIT WAS MY SEGA CD I USED FOR PLAYING, NOT FOR DISPLAY ON A SHELF. I SUGGEST THE SAME FOR THE NEXT OWNER, SINCE IT HAS AN UPGRADED BIOS MOD ENABLING NO NEED TO PATCH SEGA CD GAMES.
