Who wants to see Jetpack Joyride on the 2600? Is it even possible to do on the 2600? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sure it's possible, it's just a variation on the helicopter game in SWOOPS!

I'm curious what could be made using the spiceware "space rocks, frantic" technique of using the arm chip in the harmony cart. Perhaps there could be a coin collecting system, less flicker, etc.

Freakin' love Jetpack Joyride on the iPad.

 

But the key to the game is all the mission variations it has. That's the key to keeping you coming back to replay time and time again. If they were to do it on the Atari 2600 or any other retro console, you'd need to keep that aspect of the game intact.
