y-bot #26 Posted August 21, 2012 I got one of the bagged ones on Ebay years ago. At the time I was so frustrated because the same people kept bidding them up even though they already owned multiples. Guess it was a pretty smart invenstment on their part if they held on to them. I don't think it was under $100. I still need the box though.

ghsqb #29 Posted August 22, 2012 Well I got my Spiker similar to how Rev got his. The Spiker that I bought was posted to eBay, and it had been the first one posted to eBay in some time.(Close to 2 years IIRC) What was weird about the listing, was that it wasn't categorized with Intellivision, so just searching Intellivision, you wouldn't have seen it. You needed to search for Spiker. The game wasn't even on eBay for 6 hours by the time I contacted the seller and asked him if we would consider putting a BIN on the auction. At that point I wasn't trying to side deal, but I did want him to put a BIN on the auction so that I could snatch it up before everyone else saw it. As I found out later, it was too late for that. The seller replied to me, saying that yes, he could put a BIN on his auction, or he could sell it to me outright. If I was interested, I could make an offer, but he warned me to be careful because he knew what it was worth. I wasn't sure what to offer since there hadn't been one on eBay in so long, so I offered him $700. He accepted right away, and then asked me if I wanted his Stadium Mud Buggies that he had on eBay too. I offered him $900 for the pair, he countered with $1100, and I told him to forget it, I'd just take the Spiker. Finally he said ok, and sold me both for $900. Right after I paid the guy, I PMed Cmart here to see if he had seen the Spiker that was on eBay. He PMed me back saying "what do you mean WAS". Oh, oh. Anyhow, once word got out that the auction was ended by the seller, and after I posted this story on these forums, some of the members here contacted the seller trying to overbid me and telling the seller to return my money! LOL As Cmart has said, some games, it's everyone for themselves. The seller didn't go back on our deal, and I ended up with CIB copies of the two rarest games in an instant. I found out later that the seller was more than happy to make the deal with me, since he had picked up both games the week before at a garage sale for $10 each. So that's the long winded story of how I got my Spiker, and almost got lynched at AtariAge at the same time.

mdoerty #31 Posted August 22, 2012 I bought mine from INTV Inc. back in the day. What is worse is that I had two copies of Super Mud Buggies and traded one in 1996 for what I thought was a neat Videopac game but turned out to be nothing more than the European version of Dam Busters. At least it went to someone who was big on the Intellivision scene at the time. Mike from Morgantown

I can't remember if it was boxed or bagged -- because I got boxes when they made them later. However, I sold off many of my INTV boxes (since my mother made me trash the orginal boxes when cleaning my room after college) -- since you can't play a box. I do remember the SMB that I traded away had a box. (If I recall correclty, I got it at a closeout store after ordering my copy from INTV Inc.). Kefka15 #34 Posted August 26, 2012 Someone put Spiker in a sale thread here on AA. I bought it from him for $100. It was loose, but still a Spiker. I thought it was a great deal! I actually already had a manual for it, so I'm probably gonna get a repo box soon to go with it

Intellivisioner #38 Posted September 1, 2012 Got my MIB copy back in the 1990´s from TELEGAMES UK. They had nearly all Intellivision games for quite reasonable prices. A dream for collectors at this time. This is the price list from their former catalogue

Hmmmm, Telegames boxes...are these after all variants to collect? Edited September 1, 2012 by Intymike
Intellivisioner #40 Posted September 1, 2012 Hmmmm, Telegames boxes...are these after all variants to collect? Good to remember that, Mike! Fortunately TELEGAMES had only original Intellivision games. The problem was with Colecovision titles. Most of them were cheap TELEGAMES boxes, which made me very angry. You never knew what you get at every order. But Intellivision titles were safe, although you had to be surprised what variant you get. There were even sealed Inty boxes available.
