onthinice
I had zero because I gave them away. Then a bag showed up on my doorstep a few months later with a note that said I hear you collect. Funny thing about it was there were more games in the bag then I gave away. Are Atari carts part of the rabbit family?
Pioneer4x4
I have about 300 loose dupe carts... Just a guess.

R.O.T.S
I have several duplicates titles but i also collect variation in the labels for each game such as color or the copyright text in slightly different places,so not as many as it first appears.I do not mind duplicates to be honest i could seriously hoard Atari 2600 carts until i run out of living space lol. shadow460
About 60 right now. I have most of the 2600 ones on ebay right now in two system lots. I'm getting to the point where sometimes it's easier to buy an entire lot of games for one or two titles than to scour the wild or the web for them. I was gonna include Indy 500 in one of the lots for sale, but decided against it since I don't have an extra pair of driving controllers to put with it. And yes, Defender, Pac-Man, Combat, and several others multiply faster than mosquitoes at dusk.
+nanochess
I'm more in the Colecovision side, but almost all my friends are Atari 2600 fans, so I've bought several Missile Command, Space Invaders and Pacman for gifts, amazingly almost none of my friends had them. rasch_C
I have 6 loose carts in my small (22 so far) collection. No dupes. And, this will actually be reduced to 5 loose carts after Al gets back from Portland and provides a nice shiny new home for my Halo 2600 cart! HelloAtariJason
I only have 30 to 40 dupes right now. Luckily I have a guy that loves to hoarde games in town so I can send them off to him in batches and get games for other systems I'm missing. Its a win win thing. jetset
Somewhere around zero. And I am closing in on 700 carts. I just made a point long ago to never have dupes because, to me, it's just a waste of space and $$. Now, I *do* have some duplicate games if you count most of the Sears carts, so those could technically be viewed as duplicates, and as well I have about 60 or so German/Taiwanese pal carts, some of which are identical to the US releases, some are mostly the same with slight graphic differences. Unbeliever
For the love of all that is Atari! VERY impressed with that picture, and I had to get a napkin from all the drooling.
AAirhart
another pile then!
The Future Soon
For the folks who have lots of duplicates of the same game, why do you keep them? Are they too hard to get rid of, do you like having lots of copies of a game, something else?
AAirhart
Pacman, Combat, Donkey Kong, Defender...etc.. I have a very hard time moving once I get them. Tons of duplicates is a side effect of bulk buying for me. Locally the Atari "retail" scene is pretty non existent, so any time I find Atari carts at a garage sale, flea market, game store, pawn shop, Craigslist, etc.. I buy the whole lot. I pretty much look through the box until I find a least a R4 or R5 then just go for them all. Typically I end up pulling out a handful of carts that end up making up the cost of the lot, pull a few other more common carts/variants that I might not have yet and try and unload the rest....but some just refuse to leave their friends behind. I swear Pacman and Combat carts just attract more Pacman and Combat carts.
Unbeliever
I have hunted yard sales around my area...and there's not ONE Atari 2600 game in sight...NOT ONE! They just don't exist around here!
Philflound
It's hit or miss as to what you find. I always ask if I don't see it at a yard sale. People sometimes don't pull things out because they think it is worthless. Phil
shadow460
My dupes are down to less than 10 for now. I can't seem to get them down to absolute zero. I've got three more on the way that I had to buy just to get the instructions, so I'll have some loose carts up for sale soon. :/
ntavio
About 1000 mostly ET, PacMan, & Combat
AAirhart
For a game supposedly crushed and buried, there are a ton of ET out there...they really do almost rival Pacman and Combat in quantity.

marillion
Currently about 125. Not many dupes in the dupes pile, though. Peace, Chip
