Antic4 just to have one more colour but thinking beter we could go easily and better in bitmap. 5th player because it's one more sprite and we can have ghosts and pac-man. You can do this either way really, it's just down to which approach is preferable for Karolj to work with I don't think using font zones and planning around pf2/pf3 is such a nightmare to avoid ever using Antic4. Soft sprites with Prior0 pm overlays is the way I would do it personally for the best end result imho. Masking the pmg's and font shapes is doable. After the weekend I should have a little time in the evenings hopefully so I'll get some of my work files together and create an engine with the sprites running that I was discussing last year. Heaven/TQA #7 Posted August 27, 2012 my thoughts were really based on the fact if the 5th color is really needed... scrolling playfield can be done in antic E, too... and in bitmap mode prior 0 stuff should work, too? Tezz #8 Posted August 27, 2012 yea that'll work in bitmap mode and can rework the gfx to drop the 5th colour. Don't worry about the ghost shapes, they were just a quick example knocked up from the c64 shapes to demonstrate the overlays at the time.
