Atari Monitor DIN--same as AT Keyboard?

Is the connector for the Atari monitor the same as found on an older style AT keyboard? To me they look the same...

 

If they are, if I hack the end off of the AT keyboard and solder it to an S-Video connector, would this suffice as an S-Video cable?

I beleive they are the same size.

if you do, you will probably have to rip apart the molding and solder new wires too. pin 3 on an AT KB is supposed to be NC, and on the atari it is audio. although, I have heard rumors that some KB's used pin 3 for a reset line....

 

EDIT: only rumors though, never actually seen one use it, but then again, I have only seen 2 keyboards that natively have the connector.

You can sometimes find them at electronics surplus stores; Active Electronics in Toronto has them for about $5-10, as I recall.
