Need help for something I've found today on youTube

Recommended Posts

From another place:

http://formatwar.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=325&p=5218#p5218

and the video:

I can't find pictures of this game screens on Google Images nor anywhere else.

Could someone here try and see if it's my mistake.

Really would like to try some PMGs underlays because I think this can be almost exactly ported into A8 Hi-resooltion and those exactly colours (from the video it seems that, at least, the ones shown are 100% exactly porting).

I know it's crap but I just wanna do some screens with the grids and colour on A8 Hi-Resolution.

Of course it's so simple that I can even paint it on G2F but I am a little lazy...

It's not difficult because I can on G2F do a char and then copy/paste it all over the screen untill I have the screen all build.

What interest me more here it's that those Grids seems almost thinked for an A8 game just because PMGs underlays on the Grids would get even a more good looking than this iPhone game.

Probably the idea of the gfxs and create a new game...

I found plenty of images, and I've got the C64 game here.

C64 game "Snoopy" - from the brief play I had it's the sort you'd have loaded once then probably deleted shortly after.

Remake is "Mars Quest", by the looks of it for iPad.

That info is on the YT page anyhow, there's even a link to the Snoopy longplay video.

Haha, the walking noise sounds exactly like when I have something with a speaker that picks up RF interference from a data transmission from my cell phone.

Yes, game doesn't have anything great on it but it may look good (a new/original game design) using this idea just because how A8 deals with the Hi-Resolution:post-6517-0-37273200-1349619411_thumb.png

This one (the previous screen I posted) was made by me and it isn't one of the game screens.

At the bottom I made a DLI changinging the PMs but probably I can still get all Playing area as White and make the Ground and if it exists, the water and Wood(s) as PMs.

The idea behind it's:

-> Two Players gets the astronaut.

-> 4Missiles 5th Player (PF3 colour) = 1Player more for the Face/DLI (change colour)/Oxygene Bottle

-> Other two Players gets two enemys 8two 'X-rays',...)

(if more than two it's just multiplexing)

Of course this is for this game in particular but the main idea is that this pixel squares would look very good on a8 for a new game/new idea...

Because of the way A8 does things in Hi-Resolution modes you can have PF1 as luminance0 and the PMGs own colour with luminance0 gives you the permission to look right/good as moving horizontally soft sprites in 1pixel perfection like this:

-> Move first soft sprites two times/two hi-resol. pixels

THEN

-> at the same time as the second soft sprite hi-resol. 1pixel moving you can move 1colour clock the 2x1 PMGs.
