Fushek #1 Posted September 10, 2012 My wife, kids and I were going to yard sales this weekend and had split up ... suddenly I get a call from my daughter saying "Mom says to get over here, there's an Intellivision!" I rushed over and, sure enough, there was a 2609 model staring at me with over 20 loose games (including Turbo!). In the same box, was a Mattel Aquarius with Mini Expander, controller and 4 boxed games (Night Stalker, Utopia, Burgertime and Tron Deadly Discs). The box said "Make Offer" ... I was so excited about finding it all I probably offered too high because her eyes lit up and she agreed immediately. Oh well, can't complain on that haul for only $40! Just been so long since I've seen an Intellivision system in the wild that I thought I would share. I've NEVER owned an Aquarius before either. Hooked it up and must say that I was rather disappointed in the Burgertime game! Yikes ... the Intellivision version totally rocks. Fun to play with, but I don't think that I'm going to start an Aquarius collection so I'll probably be selling it to help enhance my Intellivision hobby! +cmart604 #4 Posted September 10, 2012 Nice score! The CIB Aquarius Burgertime alone could probably get you double what you paid for the whole package!
jaybird3rd #5 Posted September 10, 2012 I've NEVER owned an Aquarius before either. Hooked it up and must say that I was rather disappointed in the Burgertime game! Yikes ... the Intellivision version totally rocks. Fun to play with, but I don't think that I'm going to start an Aquarius collection so I'll probably be selling it to help enhance my Intellivision hobby! Aquarius BurgerTime is a lot like the 2600 version in some ways: it may look pretty funky, but the gameplay is still there, and it can grow on you if you give it a chance. The Aquarius's character-oriented graphics limits the ways the enemies can move, so with the right patterns, it's actually fairly easy to drop every enemy on every bun piece and pick up every pepper on the first few screens. But I agree that you'll probably get your money back and then some just by selling BurgerTime; it's a common enough game for the Intellivision, but it's one of the rarer ones for the Aquarius. nukeshed #6 Posted September 11, 2012 I have never seen an Aquarius in person. You, good sir, have the luck!
+boxpressed #7 Posted September 11, 2012 I sold an Aquarius Burgertime on eBay a few months ago for $60. It is still the only one I've seen on eBay over the past year.

shadow460 #9 Posted September 11, 2012 I've only seen two Intellivisions in the wild. I passed on the first for $50, and I own the second. Oddly enough, I see the games all the time. My entire collection has come from in the wild, but buying an Intellivoice will probably change that.
Fushek #10 Posted September 11, 2012 Nice score! The CIB Aquarius Burgertime alone could probably get you double what you paid for the whole package! Unfortunately, it's in the worst shape of the games ... the others are near mint! give it to intellivisiondude... Does he need it? I'm open to trades for Intv games or maybe someone could hook me up with a good deal on on getting an AV mod! I have never seen an Aquarius in person. You, good sir, have the luck! IntellivisionDude #11 Posted September 12, 2012 Naa i don't want an Aquarius. I'm a gamer more than a collector and the games for the Aquarius look like half ass Intellivision ports. LOL I wouldn't mind having the Burgertime to add to my Burgertime collection. But it's that important. I missed out on an IBM Burgertime on Ebay a few months ago, it went way out of my budget. But nice find. I don't get out to enough garage sales and the few i do go to i have never seen anything Intellivision in my area.
