my 3DS Collection

This is what I have so far. I've only checked three of these out so far, the rest are still sealed. The Mario Bros. game is amaaaazing, RE Mercenaries is very solid (slightly disappointing), and SSF IV is as close to having the arcade in the palm of ones hand as it's going to get

 

Overall, a wicked system and I'm enjoying it so far. So far: Zelda, Mario 3d Land, and Starfox are the only ones I couldn't get for under $30. The rest I've averaged $20 which makes me pretty happy.

I only have a few titles myself so far. I got the 3DS XL which I love the bigger screens and the size of the system seem perfect for me.

 

Im not a Nintendo fan at all, but I love this system so far.

 

You will never hear me say that about Nintendo....but I do.

 

I really like the 3D effect. I seem to be one of the few. I guess most ppl turn it off.

 

Only thing that would make it even better would to have FM radio on it and GBA slot.

 

The games I have are.....

 

 

Street Fighter 4=Cost $5 Better than the 360 version...why u ask. No stupid load times,all costumes/characters free right off the bat, I can buy statues with in game points, Its portable,Its in real 3D. The onlything the 360 version has over it is the animated ppl and stuff in backgrounds. I dont mind them missing they still look amazing.

 

 

Dead or Alive Dimensions=Cost $17 Best version of the game ever. A bunch of game modes. And the multi layered levels are some Id love to see in other fighters.I love kicking my enemy off a bridge or down steps and continue kicking their butt.

 

 

Kid Icarus=Cost $35 Awesomeness. Its just fun to lay to hear the comments between characters. There has to be 3 hours of voice on the cart.

 

 

Bust a Move=Paid Cost $6 my girl likes it. Not bad for playing on the can or in the Dr office.

 

 

 

 

Im kinda interested in Steel Diver too. Im a sub freak! In the Hunt is my fav sub game EVER!

I was not impressed with Steel Diver. It felt too complicated for me with the nothing but touch screen controls. But that's just me.

I can't stand the 3d effect, so I leave it off 100% of the time. Gimmicky, looks silly, detracts from the art of every game I've tried it on, hurst my eyes... I literally don't understand the appeal of 'fake' 3d gaming. Most Gaming is 3 dimensional already, so I don't understand the point of making a 'cut out' version of 3d for playing a game. I don't get it for movies either, but I guess that's just me.

 

Yeah, I wish the DSiXL and all 3ds systems had GBA compatibility... I disagree about having an FM radio on the system though, don't know why anyone would want that on there.

 

 

Funny you mention the lack of load times on SSFIV, I noticed the same thing... it is extremely impressive and makes me wonder what it'd be like to have more current Gen games on carts, with regard to the potential for much faster load times. From what I could see, the 3ds port looks just as good as the Console/Arcade, I didn't notice any differences.... guess I'll have to look into that. I haven't picked up the Dead or Alive game yet... can't find a Y-Fold, they're all crappy looking seals (I have a feeling that I'm going to have to bite my lip though) I thought the same thing w/Contra 4, finally sold out and bought one with the crappy seal... and a few months later saw a Y-Fold copy on ebay, lol... if only I'd waited a smidge longer.
