sut #1 Posted September 12, 2012 Finally getting my head around pre-programmable systems, I'm really interested in playing the various 'Pong in a chip' variations, I've been using the excellent WinArcadia which emulates/simulates (amongst other things) the AY-3-8500 chip, but i'm interested in experiencing the other 'Pong in a chip' games listed here; http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/pg70-pc50x.htm#page=games Now he notes the systems are emulated on MESS and indeed has a screenshot of it, but I'll be damned if I can find it in MESS, presumably it will be listed under a 'parent' console ? If anyone can find it or point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. I have emailed the sites author but he advised the screenshots were taken over 2 years ago and he no longer has the info. Also searching for the 'roms' (if you can indeed call them that) has also proved elusive ? Again it might be because I am searching PC-50x but a better search term evades me. I am really interested in early videogame history consoles, arcade and home computers mainly (rather than the university mainframe 'gaming' scene ie games the mass public could buy and play at the time) and would appreciate any help on this 'family' of consoles.
sut #2 Posted September 15, 2012 http://www.ccjvq.com/slydc/project/lovecade/lovemess.htm Found this, so looks like hopefully something is in the works. But the previous link I posted in the above thread is stating it's already in MESS ? I'm starting to believe it isn't, as LoveMESS is the only page I have found that relates to these machines being emulated/simulated over and above the regular game of Pong.
