Michael David Morsette
I reached a collecting goal of mine, pretty proud and wanted to share. I posted on the Lynx forum but thought I'd share over here too... since this is the place for it.... I don't have a room to store and display my collection (4 boys take a lot of room) so I had to lay claim to some shelves. Wife is pretty patient with me, not too much fuss over the public display. Here is an overview: As you can tell I am really into handhelds. The main reason these days is that I love retro-gaming but am always so busy I never have a chance to sit and play. My chances come mostly in the car, or at Tae Kwon Do class, or any of the dozens of other things I find myself running my boys off to. Down times at work can be some fun momments too. My Lynx I, my first Lynx purchase. I love this device. It feels good in my hands, screen looks great, just a good solid device. I really only use the Lynx II for the flash cart or for multiplayer games. My Marlboro Lynx. I have mixed feeling on this one. I love the history and rarity, but I wish they had done a better job making them. It looks like red paint with sticker letters. When I first saw one I thought for sure it was a fake but after a little research it turns out they really did just do a shoddy job making them. Here without too much ado is the rest of my Lynx games. Edited September 23, 2012 by MrBland
Michael David Morsette
I keep the games themselves separate in a binder. Origanally I kept them all in GameBoy cases in a backpack, but that didn't work very well. So I copied Smeghead and put all the carts in baseball cardholders with velcro to seal the tops. If there is anything you want to take a closer look at, I'll pull it out and retake a photo of what ever you are curious about. Michael David Morsette
Here are my other handhelds. These I just keep the games that my boys and I enjoy playing, the Lynx is the only one I went all out on. Well that's it for now. Thanks for looking, Mr. Bland

Michael David Morsette
awesome Lynx stuff, love the PITS you got the battery pack with the Nomad? Thanks, yes I have the battery pack. That thing chews through batteries fast. Fortunately I have an endless supply of free batteries (a lot of one time use devices at work that I recycle batteries from). I really enjoy the Nomad, I think Sega did a nice job designing it. My favorite feature is the ability to plug in a regular Genesis controller for second player action. There have been a lot of Street Fighter competitions on that thing. The TV connection is also a nice feature that I don't use much. Edited September 23, 2012 by MrBland
Protoplasym
Wicked looking Lynx Collection! I love how you have that shelf organized... looks very neat! Awesome showing
Michael David Morsette
Thanks, I am going to have to come up with some more shelf space soon (I hope). I am looking for an Entex Adventure Vision, I have been reading up on it and I think I like it almost as much as the Lynx (sacrilege ). Hopefully it won't cost my first born son to get.. who would I play with then??
Michael David Morsette
I reached another milestone, all boxes and manuals Thought I would celebrate with some pics. I have a couple of new additions too. Overview of standard boxes Closeups The boxes with plastic still on them I had a very hard time with the glare. Here are some VHS type cases. The one on the right is one of my new additions, nothing to brag about but something different. And some large box variations, Here are some plastic cases. I believe these all originate from Video 61 CD cases, I think most of these are from Songbird Productions I had a real hard time photographing these. The only way to reduce the glare to an acceptable levels was to shoot at an angle. Here are some hard orange cases, I know at least some of these are produced by Lars These are my favorite cases, Lynxman is responsible for at least a couple of these Another new new addition Now I did already have Bitchy, but I had only the cart. So I traded that one away and got this complete one. Another new addition This is one that was produced by Nimtene when Yastuna 2 was first released This is the cart for "Lynx invades Japan" in the VHS type case I have a couple new handhelds too Virtual Boy and the Entex Adventure Vision ... well this one I can't provide a picture of yet. Afraid it is off for repairs, hopefully I'll have it back in mint condition soon (fingers crossed)
Michael David Morsette
Well the Entex Adventure Vision it turns out is unrepairable, I am in the process of trading it for use as parts. That was a bit depressing, but I have some really fun additions to my collection that more than make up for it. I have several I want to share with you guys, so I'll save the best for last. First up are some game watches: my 5 yr old son asked for a new Mario game for Christmas, problem was that we already had every Mario game made... or so I thought. I remembered these game watches from when I was younger and bought him the Mario Bros 3 watch on the far left. Once I got started though I couldn't stop so I bought the seven yr old the Donkey Kong watch (second from left) the 3 yr old the Game Boy watch (it is a racing game) and me the Tetris watch.... Oh who am I kidding they are all for me, but I'll let them play with them EDIT: Here is a photo of all my watches so far: Edited March 17, 2013 by MrBland
Michael David Morsette
So here is a "new to me" Super Nintendo Console... or is it? So this is a portable Super Nintendo that is still fully functional as a home console. I had the Portable Retro Duo already but I hated the poor build quality, so when I ran across this I snatched it up. It is built nice and solid, beautiful screen and while I haven't teasted the full life of the batteries, they seem to last forever. Ergonomics aren't ideal, but what do you expect when it is a home console by day portable by night?... or maybe that is actually the other way around... Edit: Here is my SNES collection so far: Street Fighter is the one that gets the most play time. My seven year old can really kick some butt! Michael David Morsette
Now here is what I am excited about. My Vectrex!! 25 games (26 counting the builtin game), 20 original overlays, 3 controllers, 1 dust cover and the 3-D imager. Only thing I'm really after now for it is the light pen. Some close-ups Well that's it for now. I have some exciting additions coming up, but I probably won't have them in my hands for a couple months yet. Chuck D. Head
Awesome sauce!! I have never even gotten to play a Lynx before, but I see one in my future. First of all, the one game I have to have every single version of is Klax and I see there are three variants to find. What the heck kind of game is Bitchy? Some fun things are coming up, several homebrew games are in the works, a new LCD screen replacement mod is in the works, and Checkered Flag is in the HighScoreClub this month... what more could you ask for?? Bitchy is a homebrew adult (scantily clad, not nude) puzzle game that was released as part of a contest. It was made by Rygar, the biggest Lynx fan I know of. His collection radiates with the kind of glory to which mine will never attain Edited January 10, 2013 by MrBland

Such a cool collection for a guy named MrBland Thanks, it is as fun as it is beautiful I like the japanese atari lynx boxes. Do you have more of those? I like them a lot too. It is neat to see the graphical differences which I guess are based on cultural preferences. Unfortunately those are the only ones I have. The Japanese version are real hard to come by. +save2600
That Donkey Kong watch... do you remember where that came from? In the mid 90's, there was a cereal box promotion for something similar. I sent some box tops and a check early on, but it was sent back with a letter explaining they were out of them by that time. I love it, partly because of it's sheer impracticality as a portable.. Does the screen run still when you output it to a TV? Does it have a real power supply or battery only? (OH and can you use a controller while using it as a "portable"? Or is it the controls on the bottom only?) Michael David Morsette
That Donkey Kong watch... do you remember where that came from? In the mid 90's' date=' there was a cereal box promotion for something similar. I sent some box tops and a check early on, but it was sent back with a letter explaining they were out of them by that time. [/quote'] It is a Nelsonic game watch. I believe I saw them for sale in Kmart back in the day. I've bought two more I need to post, Qbert and Zelda. I love these watches. When it comes to actual gameplay the best is Tetris.I actually spent an enjoyable hour waiting in the doctor's office playing my watch Ha! I love it, partly because of it's sheer impracticality as a portable.. Does the screen run still when you output it to a TV? Does it have a real power supply or battery only? (OH and can you use a controller while using it as a "portable"? Or is it the controls on the bottom only?) There is a switch to turn the screen off when you hook it to the tv, it has rechargable battery packs and a power supply. All the controller ports work both as a console and a portable. The player one slot disables the built in controller when you plug in a controller. It is definitely not a pocket portable, but my boys and I use it in the car all the time. As stated before though it is not very ergonomic and can be a real pain if you try to use the "shoulder" buttons.
