Hi Score 20 Joystick

Hi,

This morning at a local fleamarket i picked up this joystick brand new in box,

it states that it supports Colecovision, haven't got the chance to try it out,

is it any good?

great find, looks like new old stock. What does the * by ti/994a say? That you need a converter or something to use the js with the ti?

I have one. It's terrible. Even after maximum loosening adjustments, the joystick is still too stiff. The fire buttons aren't very good either. A very poor product overall.

Hmm too bad, i do like that you can plug in a colecovision joystick on the side to use the keypad

Now that is a tremendous find, especially CIB and NOS. seeing as the High Score line of controllers doesn't show up very often. Seeing as the controller isn't all that great, I guess that's why the "5 Year Warranty" is listed on the box... reminds me of a car commericial.

 

BTW, are you going to open it up to check out that Canvas Storage bag?

also, is there a manufacture name on the box? or is high score the manufacture? I have one, but in my database of items I own I have no manufacture listed.

I think the company name was V.P.I. (Video Products, Inc. ???) when they released the HS-15, but the HS-20 doesn't have V.P.I. anywhere on the controller (that I am aware of) so maybe they changed there name to High Score.

 

I have the manual in PDF form for the HS-20, and I don't see V.P.I. anywhere.
