Nice pick-up on both boxes, Alex!

Did you by chance also pick up the Stadium Mud Buggies, LF1, LF2 combo as well?

Two $1500 eBay auctions in one day. Nice!

What do we think about this?:

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1709128846111?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=170912884611&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

I have one of those, it's pretty cool. Do you have a link to the SMB, LF1 and LF2 auction?

Do you have a 16MM to play it on? (Or means to digitize it?)

Good lord no! It's just sitting in a drawer being cool. :-D I didn't think that far ahead when I bought it, I had seen a youtube vid of it and had to have it. :P

Well, so long as its out of the light, it should be 'cool' for a little while longer. /me hunts around for suitable playback equipment.

With all these crazy prices lately, maybe now is the time to cash out?

I didn't look closely enough earlier, but it didn't sell. Seller had a few offers, but cancelled the auction. My guess is that they accepted an offer for 1 or 2 of the games, but not all three and will list the remainders after this deal.

Make sure no moisture gets to it (or it will go mouldy in the dark). If it smells of vinegar it is deteriorating! get it copied before you loose colours (red is the last to go). I used to work in film preservation/copying fifteen years ago and the smell of vinegar was a sure sign that the film acetate was breaking down. Atleast its not the old Nitrate film base, it goes yellow and acts a bit like gun-cotton - very flamable :-o

I had a feeling this Go For The Gold box was going to go super high.

Makes me wonder how close this game to an actual release....
