Zwackery #2 Posted September 27, 2012 Very cool! They will go nicely with these:
Chuck D. Head #3 Posted September 27, 2012 Looks like the retail on these is $3.99 each so the BIN is a decent price.
sqoon #4 Posted September 27, 2012 Are they selling those new at stores? I collect Hot Wheels as well as video games, and those are mighty sweet looking.
marillion #5 Posted September 27, 2012 They are new for 2012, so I would think yes. I'll be searching around for them tomorrow. Peace, Chip
Zwackery #6 Posted September 28, 2012 I went to TRU tonight and did not see these, but I'm in NC and the eBay seller is in CA, so it may take a bit for them to get distributed across US stores. Also worth mentioning, the pack for the case (according to the eBay auction) shows that Centipede and the Atari 2600 motorhome are short compared to the others (6 types in a 16 count case) and the seller goes on to say that there is no guarantee as to what the distribution in the case actually might be. Michael David Morsette #7 Posted September 28, 2012 I love these, I will definitely be on the lookout for them in stores.
PFL #8 Posted September 28, 2012 Pretty cool. I wonder if we'll see them over here in Blighty... I hope so!
Zwackery #9 Posted September 28, 2012 Pretty cool. I wonder if we'll see them over here in Blighty... I hope so! I'd be happy to buy a couple cases and put together complete sets for people, but I'm concerned that with the oddball, and maybe even random, distribution in the case pack that there would be some short sets. PFL #10 Posted September 28, 2012 ^ If you decide to do that i'd certainly be interested if I can't find them here.
+orpheuswaking #11 Posted September 30, 2012 I would buy a full set (and if the price is right two)
marillion #12 Posted September 30, 2012 Looked around 5 stores today...zippo. They probably haven't hit the east coast yet. Peace, Chip
Bartsfam #13 Posted November 2, 2012 I found them today in central Massachusetts at my local super market of all places. They come individually, no sets. $4.99 per. I got Breakout, Missile Command, Tempest and the 2600. They had more, but that was all I could afford today!!
pangasinan #14 Posted November 2, 2012 They are everywhere on Ebay, saw them about a week ago.
Zwackery #15 Posted November 4, 2012 I've been checking at least once a week (sometimes twice) and thus far I haven't seen them yet here in the NC Triad...

Bartsfam #17 Posted November 13, 2012 To all the previous posters: Have you found these in your area yet? My supermarket still has a ton of them @ $4.99 per, plus 6% Mass. sales tax. If anyone wants me to pick them up some, PM me.....as long as it's not a ton of people. (This thread seems to be pretty quiet.....) SSSHHH!
marillion #18 Posted November 14, 2012 I just decided to pick up the Woodgrain Mobile Home...haven't seen any in my area, but I scored it off eBay for only a few bucks above retail (including shipping). Peace, Chip
+save2600 #19 Posted November 16, 2012 Just bought a complete set of six for $24 off eBay. Did not see any at Wal-Mart, Target or Toys R Us and nobody even ever heard of them. Will make for nice decorations around the Atari stuff!
Lentzquest #20 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) Saw these at a Kmart here in southern Ohio several weeks ago. I don't remember the price but I passed on them because the cars are all butt-ugly. The retro Atari thing caught me off guard, and it's an awesome theme, but why couldn't they have picked any other car models to showcase Atari. The 2600 mobile home is probably the best of the bunch, but that's not saying much. Edit: Seriously, I love cars and old gaming things and there needs to be a rant. This series was just begging for icons of the late 70s to the mid 80s. T-top Monte Carlos, IROC Camaros, fox-body Mustangs, Pontiac Fieros, El Caminos, Dodge Daytonas, VW GTI/Sciroccos, Jeep CJs, Oldsmobile Cutlasses, the list goes on and on. What do we get? These six turds. Some of them aren't even identifiable as real vehicles. The odds of getting future retro game series Hotwheels is slim so this is what we're stuck with. I say no thanks. +save2600 #21 Posted November 16, 2012 Agree! But I've come to expect disappointment in the new world, so to me, these 6 turds are better than nothing and is likely to be all that Atari fans will ever get when it comes to auto licenses.
Mirage #22 Posted November 17, 2012 What do you mean, not actual vehicles? Those are the Dodge Podge, Ford Gourd, Mack Hack, VW Peediddle, Mazda Pasta and a big RV.
