Super Game Module now available for order

Recommended Posts

Even if that was the case you would have kept mine, so no problems there. I never sent the autodialer as the manufacturer stopped answering my emails before I had the chance to send them the module.

That's certainly a relief. Good luck finding another company for the foam insert. :)

Here is an idea I just had... Dale Crum involvement with the SGM project was just unbelievable. In fact I would say the SGM wouldn't look half as good if it wasn't for his involvement. Not to mention he put an insane amount of work on this too, something close to 100 hours. Considering that Dale is a professional designer, I would have never been able to properly pay him for his work. But at least I can try to compensate somehow.

So I have decided to produce a very limited run of 20 SGM in transparent case. 10 will be given to people that ordered the SGM (as part of their order, if so they wish), 10 are going to eBay as part of my deal with the person who bought 10 with the condition I would sell them on eBay. The money I make from the 10 units on eBay (discounted the $950 I must pay back to the buyer of the 10 units) I will split between myself and Dale. My share will be used to cover the extra costs with printing.

More as we get closer to the release date.

What does the F18A have to do with the SGM?

nothing, just wondering if CV worked with both devices. I would think it would as they are two different things. But just wondering if any of the beta testers tried on CV with F18a. If you want to know it has more to do with the Christmas present I'm giving to my brother, CV with F18A and SGM :)

I am very happy with just the BLACK Case, suits the Coleco Vision just fine to me, haven a transpartent case would throw off the 80's look to it.

I actually feel the same way.

Also, won't the red LED illuminate the transparent casing, almost making it glow in the dark when the lights are turned off in the room at night? :P

That's actually why I want one. I've gone to great lengths to make my arcade basement with clear systems and transparent controllers on purpose so they could have lights inside.

Ok, let me just say this. The whole idea behind the transparent SGM is to raise some extra money to cover some unexpected expenses I had (like printing going from $1,500 to $3,200) and to compensate Dale for his great contribution. Dale is a super talented designer, and one that I would never be able to hire if I had to pay regular rates. So I feel blessed that I can count on his talent, and will always do everything I can to keep him happy. Once you guys see the SGM box and manual I am sure you are going to agree with me.

So the second reason for the clear SGM is to raise some extra money to send Dale's way. I don't want to upset people here with that, but the truth is, there won't be enough clear cases for everybody. As I said I will do a raffle to decide those who will get the clear version. So 10 people get the clear SGM at no extra cost. 10 will have to pay for that (on eBay). In addition to that I reserve the right to produce a half dozen more to offer as a gift to some key contributors, people who worked super hard to make the SGM possible, and whose names I will list here once the project is done.

So for those who cannot get a clear SGM, please understand that I am doing what I am doing for the sake of maintaining the ecosystem upon which I depend, so more CV goodies can be produced in the future.

Like someone who suggested a way to create just one version that works with both adam and cv?

just kidding :)

I will NOT require a clear one. Let someone else who wants it more have a clear one. :)

Same here. Classic black is the way to go for this classic gamer. :)

I recommend re-reading post 316 :)

BTW Opcode, you can remove me from the Clear-Case SGM Raffle... I'll be more than happy, really ecstatic, with a Black case SGM.
