segagamer99 #1 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I know that Sky Jaguar is sold out, but does anyone have a copy that they would like to sell or trade with me? It doesn't have to be CIB. Also, if not, do you know if it will be on the SGM? Thanks a lot! Edited October 3, 2012 by segagamer99
Pixelboy #2 Posted October 3, 2012 Also, if not, do you know if it will be on the SGM? What do you mean by that, exactly?
segagamer99 #3 Posted October 3, 2012 What do you mean by that, exactly? I read once that Eduardo wanted to port Sky Jaguar to SGM, because it was one of his nostalgic MSX games.

segagamer99 #5 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) Ah, so by "port", you mean "upgrade". Yes. I think he said something about saving highscores. But, the thread Opcode said that was from 2009, so I don't know if it will happen or when. Also, what is Castlevania Redux? Is it Vampire Killer MSX? Also, what is Castlevania Redux? Is it Vampire Killer MSX? It was a remake I started working many years ago. The graphics looked like the MSX version because during some time the SGM included the V9958 videochip. But program wise it was remade from scratch, had smooth scrolling, etc. But I still plan to get back to that game eventually. I am a huge fan of Castlevania and it is the sort of game the CV is sorely missing. Actually Pixelboy started doing some incredible design work for the CV version, and I sincerely hope we can finish that someday. Pixelboy is a great designer. If we ever do get back to "Castlevania - Melody of Deception", you're gonna have your hands full if we follow my design, because it's gonna be a rather big game! Is it an all new Castlevania game! What will it be like?

Pixelboy #10 Posted October 4, 2012 Cool! Is it an all new Castlevania game! What will it be like? I'm not sure I should tell, as I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise. But I can tell you I designed it to be a somewhat simplified Metroidvania title, with emphasis on challenge as well as exploration. With an interesting background story that unfolds as you play, of course, with two different endings. That's all I'm willing to say at this point. Pixelboy #12 Posted October 5, 2012 Cool! Keep up the great work! No progress has been made on it in quite a long time. Not sure when me and Eduardo will pick this project up again, if ever. We both have a lot of other projects we want to do over the next couple of years...
